Remove the Obstacle (II)

Wednesday 1 st May, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Remove the Obstacle (II) Memory verse: - Job 11:14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. Bible Reading: - Acts 6:1 – 15 Message Prayer is a dialogue and not monologue for the Lord himself said call upon me; I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not of. Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. He is not a deaf God; he hears and answers prayers of the devoted and doers of his will, not of sinners for their prayers are abominations unto him unless they repent. I read about Charles G. Finney who refused to join a church very close to his house when invited. He simply told them that if their God has not been answering their prayers then he will not serve such god. He thereafter took it as a challenge and went into the woods to cry unto the Lord alone and

HE IS COMING BACK AGAIN.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: TUESDAY 30TH APRIL 2019 THEME: HE IS COMING BACK AGAIN.    MEMORISE: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3 READ: Acts 1:9-11 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. MESSAGE   For various reasons such as worldliness, the pursuit of pleasure, and the desire for power, wealth, and fame, many Christians all over the world today no longer keep the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in focus. His nonchalant attitude coupled with unbelief, is

Always Be Vigilant

Always Be Vigilant Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Apr 30, 2019 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. –1 Peter 5:8 When I was in the hospital in Hawaii, I read again of the shocking events which led up to the destruction of the United States fleet at Pearl Harbor. On that fateful day of December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked. We know now that that attack was invited by our failure to be always vigilant. The result was the destruction of our fleet-the cause was tragic indifference. When comfort and ease and pleasure are put ahead of duty and conviction, progress is always set back. What makes us Christians shrug our shoulders when we ought to be flexing our muscles? What makes us apathetic in a day when there are loads to lift, a world to be won, and captives to be set free? Why are so many bored, when the times demand action? Christ told us that in the last days there would be an insipi

Remove the Obstacles (I)

Tuesday 30 th April, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Remove the Obstacles (I) Memory verse: - Acts 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. Bible Reading: - Acts 6: 1 – 15 Message It is a well established fact of the scriptures that anytime children of God come together to worship and have fellowship with their father, Satan always has his representative among them. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. Job 2:1 again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. When God delivered his people from Egyptian’s captivity, the mixed multitude [some Egyptians] followed them having seen the mightiness of their God; but along the way the murmur and caused great pr

The Mercy Of God

Health Food – April 29 By Rhema Team, Apr 29, 2019 The Mercy Of God He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.  —PSALM 107:20 Let’s back up a few verses. PSALM 107:17–19 17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. 19 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. God said this to the Israelites. He told them, “Walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and I’ll take sickness away from the midst of thee. The rest of your days will be fulfilled” (Exod. 23:25–26). But they were foolish. They sinned and broke their covenant with God. They took themselves out of the protection of God—out of His healing power. Verse 18 says that they drew near to the gates of death. They were almost dead. Then they cried unto the Lord for help and He saved them! Isn’t God wonderful

Right Attitude in Distress

Monday 29 th April, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Right Attitude in Distress Memory verse: - Ps 6:2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. Bible Reading: - Psalms 6: 1 – 10 Message This time around, the psalmist was passing through some chastisement as a result of something he had done that displeased the Lord.  When you are in Christ and Christ is in you, you will enjoy the time of refreshing that come from the Lord; there will be inner peace for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink alone, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost; even your enemies shall be at peace with you. On the other hand all the aforementioned blessing and many more will be lost if one departs from the Lord or if one goes into sin as the case of the Psalmist in our text today. Sin in believer’s life opens the way for bad things to come upon him and this was rightly pointed out in the scriptures by our Lord Jesus Christ: John 5:14 Af

MAN: AN IMMORTAL BEING

Sunday 28 th April, 2019 Words of Life Daily Devotional MAN: AN IMMORTAL BEING MEMORY VERSE: - Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. BIBLE READING: - Lk 16: 19 – 31 Message The earlier you know and believe this, the better – that man is an immortal being; he is a never dying soul. At death there is separation between the body and soul known as physical death. When animals die their souls go down the earth, but that of men go upward to receive judgment from God [Ecc 3:21]. This is the reason why the scripture says in Heb 9:27 that” And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” You and I will give the account of our lives to God who knows the secret and open things of men, his judgment will be righteous and cannot be twisted, and he is a respecter of no man.  Therefore be prepared to meet him on the last day. Again I say there is life after death. Abraham died long before our Lord Jesus Christ was

ARE YOU AMONG THE NINE?

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SATURDAY 27TH APRIL 2019 THEME: ARE YOU AMONG THE NINE?    MEMORISE: And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Luke 17:17 READ: Luke 17:12-19 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. WHO HAS THE FINAL SAY?

DAILY   MANNA SATURDAY 27TH APRIL, 2019 WHO HAS THE FINAL SAY? TEXT: JEREMIAH 20:1-6 KEY VERSE: "For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword" (JEREMIAH 20:4).   Emperor Nero carried out the first persecution of Christians in Rome in AD 67. He gave vent to atrocious barbarities. He arranged the burning of large portions of Rome and several thousands of lives perished in the flames. Nero finding that his conduct was greatly censured and severe odium cast upon him, determined to lay the whole blame upon the Christians. He designed cruel methods of annihilating Christians among who were Paul, Peter, Erastus, Aristarchus, Trophimus and countless others. Nero even designed new means of cruelty and cont

God, Our Helper

God, Our Helper Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Apr 27, 2019 I am like a sheltered olive tree protected by the Lord himself. I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. –Psalm 52:8 (TLB) Turn to your Bible and read the wonderful stories of men who were alone in godless surroundings but who, by the help and presence of the living God, made a marvelous contribution to their own times. Joseph was surrounded by sin and intrigue in Egypt. His master's wife tried to seduce him. He was tested by imprisonment, but through it all he trusted in God and sought to know and do His will; and he stands today as a wonderful example of the keeping and strengthening power of God in the heart of a man who believed in Him.  Watch Rev. Sami Dagher's story—another example of God's strengthening power. PRAYER FOR THE DAY In the dark days, I will put out my hand and You, loving Lord, will be there.

A Better Covenant

Faith Food – April 27 By Rhema Team, Apr 27, 2019 A Better Covenant But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.  — HEBREWS 8:6 All through the Old Testament, we find men who understood and took their place in the covenant. Joshua could open the River Jordan. He could command time to stand still. Elijah could bring fire out of Heaven to consume not only the sacrifice, but the altar as well. David’s mighty men were utterly shielded from death in time of war as long as they remembered the covenant. When you read about them, you think you’re reading about “supermen.” Nearly all the prayers in the Old Testament were prayed by covenant men. Those prayers  had  to be answered. The believer today has the same covenant rights as believers who lived under the Old Covenant. In fact, we have a  better  covenant established upon better promises. Therefore, we ought to be able to do

A Fact, Not A Promise

Health Food – April 27 By Rhema Team, Apr 27, 2019 A Fact, Not A Promise Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed . — 1 PETER 2:24 By Jesus’ stripes, you are healed. You don’t have to pray. You don’t have to have someone else pray. It’s not necessary to pray when you know this fact as you ought to know it. Simply thank God for perfect deliverance. The afflictions in your body were laid on Jesus. And He bore them. You do not need to bear them. All you need to do is recognize and accept the fact that Jesus has already borne your sicknesses and diseases. Therefore, you do not have to bear them. That’s a fact, not a theory. It’s a Bible fact. I’ve heard people say, “Well, I know the Lord promised to heal me.” No, He didn’t. He didn’t promise. First Peter 2:24 is a statement of fact. It tells you what happened. A  promise  tells you about something that’s going to happen.

Spirit of Jealousy

Saturday 27 th April, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Spirit of Jealousy Memory verse: - Heb 13:4 marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Bible Reading: - Numbers 5: 1 – 31 Message Marriage is holy ordinance or holy intimate relationship between a man and a woman instituted by God for the purpose of purity, partnership, procreation, power [ for two are better than one; one shall chase a thousand and two shall put ten thousand to flight], protection, preservation and so on. The man and the woman are not expected to have carnal knowledge of any other; where this happens it is called adultery; defilement and filthiness; such a person had defiled himself or herself. If a woman goes into it and it be hidden from the husband, the spirit of jealousy will come upon the man and means of revealing this was clearly defined in the Old Testament by making the woman to drink water of jealousy called bitter water made

Covenant Friend

Faith Food – April 26 By Rhema Team, Apr 26, 2019 Covenant Friend And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?  — GENESIS 18:23-25 God refused to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah until He had talked it over with Abraham, His blood covenant friend! Abraham’s prayer in Genesis chapter 18 is one of the most suggestive and illuminating prayers in the Old Testament. Abraham was taking his place in the covenant that God had made with him — the Old Covenant, the Old Testament. Through the covenant, Abraham had received rights and privileges we understand little about. The covenant Abraham had just solemnized

The Gospel Is The Power

Health Food – April 26 By Rhema Team, Apr 26, 2019 The Gospel Is The Power For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth ; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek . — ROMANS 1:16 The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also the Greek. I have a footnote in my Bible that says the word “salvation” means  deliverance, safety, preservation, healing,  and  soundness . In this Gospel of salvation, there is not only remission of sins and the New Birth, but there’s also healing. I heard about some meetings that Brother T. L. Osborn had in Africa. Blind people were instantly healed while he was preaching. He never prayed for anyone. He never laid hands on anyone. There were about seven or eight people in attendance who were chained like animals. They were down on all fours. Some of them were naked; they were making funny sounds like animals. They were demon-possessed

The Miracle of Life

The Miracle of Life Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Apr 26, 2019 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. –Psalm 19:1–3 There is a language in nature that speaks of the existence of God. It is the language of order, beauty, perfection, and intelligence. Some time ago a scientist told me that when he gave serious thought to the majestic order of the universe and its obedience to unchanging law, he could not help but believe in God. He had become aware that God was speaking through nature. God speaks in the certainty and regularity of the seasons; in the precision of the movements of the sun, the moon, and the stars; in the regular coming of night and day; in the balance between man's consumption of life-giving oxygen and its production by the plant life of the earth; and even in the cry of a new

Jesus Moses and Israel of God

Friday 26 th April. 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Jesus Moses and Israel of God Memory verse: - Heb 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Bible Reading : -          Heb 3: 1: 1 – 19 Message In our passage this morning, Paul the writer of the book was a holy apostle called by Christ himself and in his faithfulness to God he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to talk about the faithfulness of Moses in comparison to that of Christ himself who is the master over the house which is the church of God purchased by his own blood – t he present Israel of God [you and I], the believers. The standard should be maintained if we have hope of entering into the kingdom of God. Moses, Paul and we are all given a heavenly calling which we rightly responded to in turning away from darkness onto the light of God; from unfaithfulness to faithfulness in all matters [both physical and

Accept Jesus As Your Healer

Health Food – April 25 By Rhema Team, Apr 25, 2019 Accept Jesus As Your Healer That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses . — MATTHEW 8:17 I said to the couple, “Now we can pray.” I reached my hand out and laid it on top of the wife’s head. I said, “Dear Lord Jesus, my dear sister has come for healing. She has seen that Jesus took her infirmities and bore her sicknesses. She accepted You as her Savior and was saved. Now she has come to accept You as her Healer, and she is healed. Thank You for it!” Then I asked her, “Are you healed?” She said, “I am.” I said, “How do you know you are?” She said, “Because the Word said, ‘Himself took my infirmities and bare my sicknesses.’” “That’s it! You’ve got it,” I said. I turned and walked back toward the door to the pastor’s office. I looked back and saw that she couldn’t get up. Her husband lifted her up like a baby and carried her out of the buildin

THERE IS WORK TO DO.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: THURSDAY 25TH APRIL 2019 THEME: THERE IS WORK TO DO.    MEMORISE: As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. Proverbs 26:14 READ: Hebrews 4:8-11 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. MESSAGE Life is a call to service. At the end of it, God has set a day of reckoning, when everyone must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive the reward of their stewardship, according to what they have done on earth, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10). When God created the world, He ordained work as a means of rendering service, in order for man to find fulfillment and obtain reward or praise. He

CAN YOU HANDLE THIS?

DAILY   MANNA THURSDAY 25TH APRIL, 2019 CAN YOU HANDLE THIS? TEXT : JEREMIAH 19:1-15? KEY VERSE: "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words" (JEREMIAH 19:15).   Revelling in false hope and relaxing in self-satisfaction is not only delusional but also dangerous. It is dangerous when one enjoys great privileges of provisions, peace, protection, popularity, power, pride of place and prime of position at someone's behest and carelessly forgets one's benefactor. "The river that disregards its source soon dries up", as the adage says. Certainly, sooner than later, every action will attract commensurate repercussion.   God revealed His displeasure against the attitude of His people, Judah and Jerusalem. In the text, He accused them of forsaking Him. They made their land estr

Joy in Sharing

Joy in Sharing Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Apr 25, 2019 We . . . offer our sacrifice of praise to God by telling others of the glory of his name. –Hebrews 13:15 (TLB) Jesus knew that one of the real tests of our yieldedness to God is our willingness to share with others. If we have no mercy toward others, that is one proof that we have never experienced God's mercy. Emerson must have been reading the gauge of human mercy when he said, "What you are speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say." Satan does not care how much you theorize about Christianity, or how much you profess to know Christ. What he opposes vigorously is the way you live Christ. Some time ago a lady wrote and said, "I am 65 years old. My children are all married, my husband is dead, and I am one of the loneliest people in all the world." It was suggested to her that she find a way of sharing her religious faith and her material goods with those around her. She wrote a

Abhor Evil Agreement

Thursday 25 th April, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Abhor Evil Agreement Memory verse: - Acts 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, how is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Bible Reading: - Acts 5: 1 – 42 Message Abhor, abstain, refrain and desist from deceptive agreement especially to the Holy Ghost and righteous men of God for it carries capital punishment and if not repented of can lead to eternal death with excruciating pain in hell. For the wife of Ananias to say “yea, for so much” that is the exact amount earlier mentioned by her husband; it means they were in agreement to deceive the man of God. This is an evil agreement not welcome by God; to God every deception and unrighteousness is sin and must be refrained from vehemently. A real man of God filled by the Holy Spirit will have the gift of words of knowledge operating in his life; t

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY 24TH APRIL 2019 THEME: CARING FOR THE SHEPHERD. MEMORISE: If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 1 Corinthians 9:11 READ: 1 Corinthians 9:6-14 6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working? 7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? 8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? 10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. MESSAGE The word “shepherd” is commonly used by Christians to describe pastors, evangelist, missionaries and others who play leadership roles in the body of Christ. God expects members of the body of Christ to provide all that is necessary for the health and welfare of church leaders, as they labor to see to the spiritual wellbeing of the flock of Jesus Christ. Caring for the shepherd can take the form of gifts or voluntary service from individuals or organized groups. Care can also come in the form of wages from the ministry church through which the shepherd serves God. In this sense, wages can be defined as any form of economic compensation received in exchange for labor or service rendered. This may also include accommodation, provisions and additional benefits in cash or kind. The Holy Spirit revealed God’s mind on the matter, saying in 1 Corinthians 9:13-14: “Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” The Bible clearly teaches the right of pastors and spiritual leaders to receive care and wages in any form considered appropriate b members of the Body of Christ they are serving. Galatians 6:6 says: “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.” Also, in 1 Timothy 5:17-18, the Bible instructed that the elder who rules well and labors in teaching the word and doctrine should not only be appropriately compensated but should also be counted worthy of double honor. Above all, our Lord Jesus Christ repeatedly hammered on the fact that the workman in God’s vineyard deserves whatever care or wages he or she receives (Matthew 10:10, Luke 10:7). Moreover, caring for shepherds ordained by God is a route to irreversible blessings. Some ignorantly see this as a means to making pastors rich, but the Bible and life experiences speak for themselves: the widow of Zarephath, the woman of Shunem, the words of Jesus in Mark 9:41, and testimonies too numerous to mention all serve as examples to follow in this regard. PRAYER POINT: Father, grant me grace to consistently take care of Your shepherds in Jesus’ Name. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 29-30 Jeremiah 23:33-24:10 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. KEY VERSE: "But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten" (JEREMIAH 20:11).   On December 10, 1914, there was a massive explosion in West Orange, New Jersey in USA that engulfed and destroyed Thomas Edison's entire life's work. Calmly, Edison told his astonished 24 year-old son, Charles "our entire factory has been burnt to ashes, but all the mistakes we made so far have been burnt with the factory; we will start all over again afresh tomorrow". He was 67 years old at that time. The next day was a fresh beginning for the inventor and his son.   In the text, Prophet Jeremiah was also in despair, having been mocked, derided, confounded, discouraged and terrorised. Lord, Teach Us To Pray

Faith Food – April 24 By Rhema Team, Apr 24, 2019 Lord, Teach Us To Pray And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray  . . . . — LUKE 11:1 Someone said, “It is more important that men learn to pray than that they gain a college education.” Notice he did not say that having an education is not important; he said, that learning to pray is more important. I feel sorry for people who don’t know how to pray. When the crises of life come, they know how to say words — but just spouting off words into the atmosphere isn’t praying! Simply talking into the air is not praying. Taking up twenty minutes on a Sunday morning giving God a homily on what His duties are toward the church is not praying. And giving the congregation a lecture pretending to be praying to God is not praying. Christianity, from a practical side, is a living religion whose believers are in touch with the living God who hears

I asked the husband, “When you went down to that altar to get saved, did you pray, ‘God, give me and my wife faith so we can be saved’?” “No, the man just preached Jesus,” the husband shared. “He said that whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved [Rom. 10:13]. We knew before we went down there what the Lord would do.” “Good,” I said. “That’s exactly what I wanted you to say. You didn’t have to pray for God to give you faith to be saved. Why then would you have to pray for God to give you faith to be healed?” He jumped up and said, “You know, that whole prayer isn’t worth a dime, is it? We’re going to have to throw that whole prayer away!” I

He Is Alive!

He Is Alive! Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Apr 24, 2019 Because I live, ye shall live also. –John 14:19 For personal Christianity, the resurrection is all-important. There is a vital interrelation to the existence of Christianity itself, as well as to the individual believer, in the message of the Gospel. The Swiss theologian, Karl Barth, said, "Do you want to believe in the living Christ? We may believe in Him only if we believe in His corporeal resurrection. This is the content of the New Testament. We are always free to reject it, but not to modify it, nor to pretend that the New Testament tells something else. We may accept or refuse the message, but we may not change it." Christianity as a system of truth collapses if the resurrection is rejected. That Jesus rose from the dead is one of the foundation stones of our faith. Listen to Billy Graham explain the resurrection in 60 seconds . PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, let me live today with the constant t

Believers sometimes hear how someone else used their authority, and they think,  I’ll try that because I heard him say it. It worked for him, so it will work for me.  Satan knows they are not convinced of their authority, and when they try to act on God’s Word witho
