Abhor Evil Agreement
Memory verse: - Acts 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, how is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Bible Reading: - Acts 5: 1 – 42
Message
Abhor, abstain, refrain and desist from deceptive agreement especially to the Holy Ghost and righteous men of God for it carries capital punishment and if not repented of can lead to eternal death with excruciating pain in hell.
For the wife of Ananias to say “yea, for so much” that is the exact amount earlier mentioned by her husband; it means they were in agreement to deceive the man of God. This is an evil agreement not welcome by God; to God every deception and unrighteousness is sin and must be refrained from vehemently.
A real man of God filled by the Holy Spirit will have the gift of words of knowledge operating in his life; they might not talk, but they know when you are deceiving them; they know when you are lying to them. But in the case of Ananias and Sapphira, instant judgment came upon them because they were already possessed by the devil who is the father of all liars.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
How long shall you continue to dwell in deadly deception? The certificate you are using, does it belong to you? Is it your handiwork or someone helped you to write the exam – that is deception; you need to amend your ways.
Do you remember the city of Babel? God said they should scatter and fill the whole earth; but they all in one accord decided to build the city of Babel so as to be together.
Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
This oneness and agreement contradicts the will of God for them, hence God confused their language and scattered them abroad. Godless and evil agreement will always reap the displeasure of the Lord; it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God. [Heb 10:31]
Be warned, flee deceptive agreement with students in school during external examinations or with colleagues at work to defraud your boss or as a wife or husband to respectively defraud each other or as a child to defraud your parents; it is a dangerous game, abstain from it.
Confession of the Day
I will not connive with anyone to deceive my fellowman by the grace of God.
Prayer Points
Lord, kindly help me to escape this pitfall into which Ananias and his wife fell into; keep me by your grace

Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians.
