MAN: AN IMMORTAL BEING
MEMORY VERSE: - Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
BIBLE READING: - Lk 16: 19 – 31
Message
The earlier you know and believe this, the better – that man is an immortal being; he is a never dying soul. At death there is separation between the body and soul known as physical death. When animals die their souls go down the earth, but that of men go upward to receive judgment from God [Ecc 3:21]. This is the reason why the scripture says in Heb 9:27 that” And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” You and I will give the account of our lives to God who knows the secret and open things of men, his judgment will be righteous and cannot be twisted, and he is a respecter of no man.  Therefore be prepared to meet him on the last day.
Again I say there is life after death. Abraham died long before our Lord Jesus Christ was born, yet He saw him in heaven and Lazarus the beggar at his bosom; on the mount of transfiguration, God opens the eyes of Peter to see Moses and Elijah communing with Christ. And Christ the son of God that come down from heaven and knows vividly the things of heaven tells us in Mark 9: 43 – 48 that sinners and careless believers that will make it to hell will not die, the worms that will be tormenting them will not and the fire itself shall not quench. Rev 14: 11 also says “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” It is that serious; listen not to the deceivers that say God is so merciful that he cannot cast his creaturesinto the lake of fire. Remember the time of Noah, the mockers all perished in the flood, remember Sodom and Gomorrah only Lot and his two daughters were saved and do not forget that the stubborn Pharaoh and his chariots all perished in the red sea. Strive to live holily everyday through the grace of God obtained through constant and diligent fellowship with God.
If you are willing he will carry you through; he wants you to make heaven that is why he sent Jesus to die for your cleansing. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour thereafter abide in him to the very end and you will avoid the torment of hell.
Confession of the Day I am a free moral agent and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and saviour; heaven is my goal.

Prayer Points   Jesus I accept you afresh today as my saviour and my healer; fill me with thy nature.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters.
