IN, AND OUT OF SEASON

DAILY   MANNA SATURDAY 1ST JUNE, 2019 IN, AND OUT OF SEASON TEXT: ACTS 8:1-13 KEY VERSE: “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word" (ACTS 8:4).   “Do you know grace?” that was the question the world-famous preacher D.L. Moody (1837-1899) was said to have posed to people he came in contact with. If the person did not know what he was talking about and asked, “Grace who?”, Moody would sit down to explain the meaning  of grace using various Bible references. It was an evangelism and soul-winning strategy that worked effectively. Many listened to his interpretation, explanation and application.   It took the church the death of Stephen and the persecution of Church to have apostles and disciples of Jesus to go abroad to preach the gospel everywhere. Philip escaped to Samaria, which recorded great conversion of souls with signs and wonders accompanying his ministration; unclean spirits came out of many, the possessed were set free, those with p

Where Is Your Hope?

Where Is Your Hope? Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Jun 01, 2019 This certain hope of being saved is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God himself . . .  –Hebrews 6:19 (TLB) What are you placing your hope in for the future? Your country's government, educational system, some plan or organization? My hope is in a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ, who sits at the right hand of God. I have hope and know that I'm going to heaven. And, right here and now in this present life, I have God's presence to help me. Suppose we had no Bible. Suppose there were no cross, no salvation, no empty tomb. Suppose we had nothing to hang on except, "Do your best, try to patch it up, do what you can." Oh, but we have a hope. There is a plan of redemption, a plan for the future. The New Testament is an exciting Book to read, it is so full of hope and expectancy. And God is interested in you! Is  your  hope in Jesus Christ?   Listen to this 1

God Is A Spirit

Faith Food – June 1 By Rhema Team, Jun 1, 2019 God Is A Spirit But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  — JOHN 4:23,24 God is a Spirit. Spiritual  things are more real than  material  things. They have to be, because God, who is a Spirit, created all material things. God’s unseen ability brought into being everything we know upon the earth in the natural realm by simply saying, “Let there be . . . .” You cannot know God, or touch God, or become acquainted with God  physically . You cannot know God, or touch God, or communicate with God  mentally . God is a Spirit. And, thank God, you can reach Him with  your  spirit. Your human spirit can come to know God. Your spirit can become acquainted with God. Your spirit can communicate with God. Your spirit can worship God! Confession:  The

God And His Word Are One

Health Food – June 1 By Rhema Team, Jun 1, 2019 God And His Word Are One So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  — ISAIAH 55:11 I’ve never figured out how people think they’re going to get God to do something for them apart from the Bible. You see, you can’t separate God from His Word. The Bible is the Word of God. You can’t separate someone from his or her word. In other words, a person is known by his or her word. God is known by His Word. He is everything the Word says He is, and He will do everything His Word says He will do. If you want to find out who God is, go to the Word and find out. Sometimes people say, “Well, I don’t know whether God will do that or not. I hope He will.” If you want to find out what God will do, go to the Word. I remember a man years ago who was in the healing ministry. He was saved, filled with the Holy

Do Not Ask Amiss

Saturday 1st June, 2019                      Word of Life Daily Devotional                              Do Not Ask Amiss Memory verse : - James  4:3  Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Bible Reading:- IIChro 1:1 - 17                                      Message Praying, asking, and communing with God (our heavenly father) is inevitable duty of a serious Christian born out of love of God shed abroad in us at conversion, multiplied and made deeper after sanctification or spiritual circumcision of heart by invisible surgical knife of God himself. Deuteronomy  30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. True believers pray in season and out of season, when convenient and otherwise because they know that without Christ, God and Holy Spirit, they can do nothing. The art of praying diligently is the sou

Working In Me

Faith Food – May 31 By Rhema Team, May 31, 2019 Working In Me For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.  — PHILIPPIANS 2:13 Another translation of this verse reads, “For it is God who is at work within you . . . .” I like to put Philippians 2:13 together with First John 4:4: “. . .  greater is he that is in you  [and that means me] . . . .” God is in me! What is God doing in me? He is at work in me. What is God working at? Both to will and to do of His own good pleasure. What is His own good pleasure? His pleasure is that I have everything the Word of God says I can have — that I do everything the Word of God says I can do. God is enabling me! God is in me, and my spirit rejoices. My heart is glad that I can turn God loose in me. I can let God have right-of-way in me. I can put God to work even to a greater degree in my life. How can I do this? First, I can do it by believing in my heart that God is in there, and that the Word of G

Have Faith In God

Health Food – May 31 By Rhema Team, May 31, 2019 Have Faith In God For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  — MARK 11:23 Several years ago, I was hemorrhaging from my body. I had serious pain symptoms. It was almost intolerable. The devil was giving me mental visions of cancer. I didn’t have any kind of inspiration, and all the feelings I had were negative. Now I learned the multiplication table many years ago. It still works. Three time three is still nine. I don’t ever stop to think,  Will that work? Do you suppose three times three is still nine? Do you suppose the multiplication table will work today? I can’t get it to work for me. I see it working for others, but it won’t work for me.  No, if multiplication doesn’t work for you, it’s because you don’t know t

Need for Inner Change

Need for Inner Change Billy Graham's Daily Devotion May 31, 2019 Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. –2 Corinthians 5:17 The world says that all we need to do is be decent, respectable, and reasonable. True, that is all one needs to do to be a member of the Great Society, but to be a member of the Kingdom of God, there must be an inner change. A Communist in Hyde Park, London, pointed to a tramp and said, "Communism will put a new suit on that man." A Christian standing nearby said, "Yes, but Christ will put a new man in that suit!"  Watch Billy Graham preach a message on change . PRAYER FOR THE DAY Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the change that came deep within me when I received You.

THE SURE SOURCE OF HELP.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: FRIDAY 31ST MAY 2019 THEME: THE SURE SOURCE OF HELP.    MEMORISE: They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Psalm 34:5 READ: 2 Kings 6:24-27 24 And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria. 25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver. 26 And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. 27 And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? MESSAGE A lot of Christians see idolatry or idol worship as something no longer happening in our modern age, or only affecting people in very remote parts of the world, and so they do not pay clo

PENALTY FOR IMPURITY

DAILY MANNA FRIDAY 31ST MAY, 2019 PENALTY FOR IMPURITY TEXT: NUMBERS 19:11-22? KEY VERSE: “But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD; the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean" (NUMBERS 19:20). Our contemporary world is enmeshed in acts of impurity and debauchery. Because of iniquities' widespread nature, the hearts of most men are determined to practicing them. Those who have once abhorred sin like a passion are now active participants because of a wrong perception that doing good in the midst of evil is foolish. Yet God will judge unrighteousness. God's desire for all men in every generation is that we should be holy. He created man in His holy image. Even after the fall of man, He made the plan of salvation so that every man could regain the original nature and true holiness. This is because God Hims

Evil Speaking Outlawed

Friday 31 st May, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Evil Speaking Outlawed Memory verse: - James4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. Bible Reading: - Numbers 12:1 – 16 Message The eyes of the Lord moves to and fro upon the sons of men to make himself strong on behalf of the upright in heart and deeds; he sees all we do and hears all we converse among ourselves, hence our conversation in private and public must be pure especially against one another. In our text today, Miriam and Aaron [Moses’ relatives] spake not for but against what he had done and the Lord whose eyes is upon his servant constantly heard them and was displeased with what they have done; so the Lord in his rage and displeasure punished Miriam with a plague of leprosy and was shut out of the camp for seven days af

More Than Conquerors

Faith Food – May 30 By Rhema Team, May 30, 2019 More Than Conquerors Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  . . . . — ROMANS 8:37 If God’s Word had just told us we were conquerors, it would have been enough — but it tells us that we are  more than conquerors  through Jesus Christ. Rather than saying, “I’m defeated,” rise up and say what the Bible says about you. Say, “I am a conqueror!” It may not seem to you that you are a conqueror, but your confession of it because of what you see in God’s Word will create the reality of it in your life. Sooner or later you will become what you confess! You will not be afraid of any circumstances, if you make the right confession. You will not be afraid of any disease, if you make the right confession. You will not be afraid of any conditions, if you make the right confession. You will face life fearlessly, as a conqueror! Confession:  In all things I am more than a conqueror through Him that l

The Principle Of Faith

Health Food – May 30 By Rhema Team, May 30, 2019 The Principle Of Faith For verily I  [Jesus]  say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  — MARK 11:23 Once I invited a pastor to go with me to a preaching engagement in California. This pastor was fifty-six years old. At the age of thirty-nine, he discovered that he had diabetes. So for seventeen years, he had given himself a shot of insulin every day. This pastor was a good man and had a wonderful church. But somehow, he had failed to grasp healing. Now I didn’t talk to him personally. I think that sometimes people are sitting around waiting for God to initiate something. And sometimes God does initiate something on His own. But people don’t have to just sit around and wait on Him. I wanted to teach this pastor about the autho

They Took the Word with Them

Thursday 30 th May, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional They Took the Word with Them Memory verse: - Acts 8:4: - Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word. Bible Reading: - Acts 8: 1 – 40 Message Jesus left the disciples in Jerusalem and not in Rome as claimed by some Christian assemblies. There they were baptized in the Holy Ghost and waxed great in number, but refused to go out to other parts of the world as commanded by the Lord, hence came the persecution to make them scatter abroad all over the world. Preaching the word to every creature and persecution as a result of that is the will of God for all sincere and fervent Christians. Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive

YOU ARE VERY PRECIOUS.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY 2019 THEME: YOU ARE VERY PRECIOUS.      MEMORISE: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9 READ: 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in

SAY NO TO UNEQUAL YOKE

DAILY   MANNA WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY, 2019 SAY NO TO UNEQUAL YOKE TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 18:1-12 KEY VERSE: “And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehosaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war" (2 CHRONICLES 18:3).   A yoke is a wooden bar that joins two oxen to each other and to the burden they pull. An unequally yoked team has one stronger ox and one weaker, or one taller and one shorter. The weaker or shorter ox would walk more slowly than the taller, stronger one, causing the load to go around in circles. When oxen are unequally yoked, they cannot perform the task set before them. Instead of working together, they are at odds with one another.   From the text, Jehoshaphat, king of Judah paid a visit to King Ahab of the northern backslidden nation. And during the meeting of the two kings, Ahab asked Jehoshaphat to join him in fighting against the Syrians to rec

Cast Not Away Your Confidence

Wednesday 29 th May, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Cast Not Away Your Confidence Memory verse: - Heb 10:35 – 36 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Bible Reading: - Heb 10:1 – 39 Message Bible says we shall through the patience of the scriptures obtain the promises; and through many tribulations we shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; also we need to be patient after we might have done the will of God that he that will come will surely come and will not tarry. God is ever faithful who had promised who also will do it. Believers must bear in mind that winners never quit and quitters never win; therefore patience, resilience, perseverance and continual tarrying on the promises of God are needed to obtain the promises and to get to heaven eventually. Abraham was a man subject to a like passion as we are; he hoped even ag

Invest Your Talents

Invest Your Talents Billy Graham's Daily Devotion May 28, 2019 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above . . .  –James 1:17 God, in His mercy and goodness, has endowed every man with certain gifts, talents, and capabilities. These are not to be used selfishly for our own profit, but for the glory of God and for the building of His kingdom. Our personalities, our intelligence, and our capabilities are gifts from His own bountiful hand. If we divert their use for our own profit, we become guilty of selfishness. It is good business for an employee or junior partner in the firm to work for the profit and interest and glory of the owner. When the owner profits, all members of the firm profit. So, as stewards of our talents, we should invest them for the glory, praise, and honor of God. If God is glorified, we as His partners will be blessed. Our voices, our service, and our abilities are to be employed, primarily, for the glory of God.  God wants you to put yo

THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: TUESDAY 28TH MAY 2019 THEME: THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE. MEMORISE: Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4:28 READ: Genesis 26:12-14 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. MESSAGE Unemployment and poverty are some of the reasons people give for engaging in acts of stealing and fraudulent practices involving obtaining false pretense. However, such people are not being sincere with themselves or with God. There is only one legitimate cure for lack, and its name is hard work. When people say there are no employment opportunities, I beg to diffe

YOU ARE BLESSED

DAILY MANNA TUESDAY 28TH MAY, 2019 YOU ARE BLESSED TEXT: PSALM 115:12-18 KEY VERSE: “He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great" (PSALM 115:13). Jonathan Edwards was a Puritan preacher in the 1700s. He was one of the most respected preachers in his days. He married his wife Sara in 1727 and they were blessed with eleven children. Every night when Mr. Edwards was home, he would spend an hour conversing with his family and then praying and blessing each child. Jonathan and his wife Sarah passed on a great, godly legacy to their children which contributed to their blessed attainments years after their demise. In just six verses of the text today, the word ‘bless’ and ‘blessed’ were used six times which signifies the purpose of this Psalm. It was intended to bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great. Rather than go along with the heathen who were said to have deviated into the despicable act of idolatry, the believers held on to their trust

Do Not Speak Vanity

Tuesday 28 th May, 2019 Word of Life Daily Devotional Do Not Speak Vanity Memory verse: - Psalms12:2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. Bible Reading: - Psalms 12:1 – 8 Message God demands faithfulness from his people, he wants them to speak the truth from their inward parts; he does not want them to be deceitful for this will amount to self delusion and vanity. A deceitful person has double hearts; he speaks one when he meant another. God hates this kind of attitude and shall cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaketh proud things. Ananias and Sapphira his wife came to Peter with double hearts; spoke vanity and deceptive words and brought judgment of God upon themselves immediately. God remains the same and maintains the same standard of every one speaking the truth in his heart to his neighbour. These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour;

DAMNED BY DISOBEDIENCE

DAILY MANNA MONDAY 27TH MAY, 2019 DAMNED BY DISOBEDIENCE TEXT: NUMBERS 20:1-13? KEY VERSE: “And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them" (NUMBERS 20:12). A little over a decade ago, a squirrel caused serious power outage that left the state house and other down town Topeka (capital of Kansas State) without power. The squirrel got into a power station and touching different parts of an electric power circuit caused serious damage. From the text, Israel, under Moses’ leadership, advanced towards Canaan again after about thirty-eight years of a long and tedious journey through the wilderness; but there was no water for the congregation to drink. For this reason, they murmured against Moses and Aaron. They fell into the same unbelief like their fathers. Complaining out of unbelief became an incurable setba

FROM PRISON TO THE THRONE.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONDAY 27TH MAY 2019 THEME: FROM PRISON TO THE THRONE. MEMORISE: He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them. 1 Samuel 2:8 READ: Genesis 41:39-46 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him,
