Not Away Your Confidence
Memory verse: - Heb 10:35 – 36 Cast
not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For
ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might
receive the promise.
Bible
Reading:
- Heb 10:1 – 39
Message
Bible says we shall through the patience of the
scriptures obtain the promises; and through many tribulations we shall enter
into the kingdom of heaven; also we need to be patient after we might have done
the will of God that he that will come will surely come and will not tarry. God
is ever faithful who had promised who also will do it. Believers must bear in
mind that winners never quit and quitters never win; therefore patience,
resilience, perseverance and continual tarrying on the promises of God are
needed to obtain the promises and to get to heaven eventually.
Abraham was a man subject to a like passion as we
are; he hoped even against hope, that is he continued to hold onto the Lord
despite the fact that human science had proved that he might not be able to bear
the promise child for he is of age and his wife could not feel how it use to be
for women; he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was
strong in faith giving glory to God. He refused to throw in the towel, he did
not quit and he conquered at last.
Daniel tarried in prayers for three good weeks and
his importunity caused commotion in the spiritual realm against prince of
Persia who withstood the angel bringing answer to the beloved and cherished
servant of God.
God is so faithful that whenever he promise a thing
he will follow it up to fruition, he is limitless, he is incompressible, he
cannot be hindered, he is unstoppable. Has He promise you anything at all? As
long as you abide in Christ and Christ in you, you will have that which you
earnestly desire of the Lord.
But the only thing that you need to avoid like
plague is sin because it weakens the hand of God to save and blocks his ears
from hearing and answering our prayers. Abide in the grace of God that abounds
where sin abounded; endure all hardness as a good soldier of Christ; keep marching
on whatever the problem knowing that Satan throws those challenges because he sees
something special in you. People do not just throw stones and sticks at a useless
tree, but to a tree bearing special fruits.
You are special and precious to God and He has a special
assignment written against your name to be carried out here and that can only be
accomplished if you do not cast away your confidence in the Lord that never can
fail you. Tarry, persevere and remain unmovable.
Confession of the Day: - I will not quit serving
him who love me and laid down himself for my redemption; I am fully persuaded.
Prayer Point: - Give me more than enough
oil in my lamp and keep me burning till the glorious day in Jesus name. Amen
