WHICH DO YOU BELONG TO?

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 WHICH DO YOU BELONG TO? Ephesian 1 : 3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesian 2 : 6   And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:    Rom 5 : 17    For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) MESSAGE Whether or not believers are victorious over the devil depends on what view they have of themselves as the Church   -   MILITANT, DEFEATED, OR TRIUMPHANT Church is the called out people from sin unto righteousness, from kingdom of darkness to the marvelous light of Christ, from satanic oppression to dominion over demons, Satan and power of darkness. They are the translated people that sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; they are hid in Christ who is in God

NO ROOM FOR THE DEVIL

NO ROOM FOR THE DEVIL – Thursday September 1st 2016 Memorise:   Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1st Thessalonians 5:22 Read : Bible in one year: Psalms 15:1-5, (KJV) 1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. 4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. 5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Bible in one year:   Jeremiah 10-12, Psalms 46 MESSAGE ‘Looking unto Jesus’ are there very important words of salvation, encouragement and direction for daily Christian living. Nicodemus, in his search for the true God and eternal life, app

HIS SACRED WORD

Thursday September 1, 2016 His Sacred Word -DEUTERONOMY 8:1-9 Key Verse: "All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers" (Deuteronomy 8:1). In his novel, "Lord Of The Flies", William Golding wrote about man's tendency to wantonly trample on values meant to protect him. In this novel, young, innocent British boys were marooned on an island. They decided to set some rules for themselves to help them survive there till they are able to get help from the outside world. But before long, the rules were ignored, which led to chaos and the destruction of the island. As the children of Israel got set to possess the land God promised them, they were admonished to keep all the words that He had commanded them. Obedience to this law was the key to their survival and sustenance. Apart from helping to ensure a social order that w

SPEECH THAT EDIFIES

Thursday September1,2016 Speech That Edifies  And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. —Joel 2:28–29  Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 14:1–25  We know that the prophecy spoken by Joel was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost. This was the first outpouring of the Spirit, but what would it be like now if we would only wake up to the words of our Master, “Greater works than these [you] will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12)?  Hear what the Scripture says to us: “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak” (John 16:13). DON'T WAIT FOR EVIDENCE TO BELIEVE

Health Food Devotional Don't Wait for Evidence To Believe August 31, 2016 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.  (John 2:5) In John chapter 2, we see the account of Jesus attending the wedding in Cana with his mother. His mother told Him that they had run out of wine.  Jesus said to the servants, "...Fill the waterpots with water.." (John 2:7).  Let's continue reading in John. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.  When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,  And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.  (John 2:7-10) The water became wine. Now what i

STOP PRAYING WRONGLY

STOP PRAYING WRONGLY WEDNESDAY 31 AUGUST, 2016 Luke 10 : 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. John 14 : 13       And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. MESSAGE From the bible verses above, believers are commanded to pray to God in Jesus name, not in the name of any angel or human being. If you are praying to God through any other name, you are praying amiss, you are praying wrongly. Some believers have turn God to an errand boy; praying God do this or that for me. This is correct to some extend if we are asking God for provision and protection, otherwise we are praying amiss. If you are sick or suffering from any satanic manipulations or oppression, you are to command the infirmity to go. Jesus during his earthly ministry pray authoritatively, commanding evil spirit to go. Disciples did likewise in

THE MORE EXCELLENT WAY

August 31     The More Excellent Way  Pursue love. —1 Corinthians 14:1  Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 13     W hen love is in perfect operation, all other things will work in harmony, for prophetic utterances are of no value unless they are perfectly covered with divine love. Our Lord Jesus would never have accomplished His great plan in this world except that He was so full of love for His Father, and love for us, that His love never failed to accomplish its purpose.  I believe that His love will have to come into our lives. Christ must be the summit, the desire, the plan of all things. All our sayings, doings, and workings must be well pleasing in and to Him, and then our prophetic utterances will be a blessing through God; they will never be side issues. There is no imitation in a man filled with the Holy Spirit. Imitation is lost as the great plan of Christ becomes the ideal of his life.  God wants you to be balanced in spiritual anointing so that you will always do what pleas

HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR

HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR – Wednesday August 31st 2016 Memorise:   Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Psalms 91:5 Read: Psalms 91:1-9, (KJV) 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because

Have You Checked Up From God?

Wednesday August 31, 2016 Have You Checked Up From God? - JOB 10:1-8 Key Verse: "I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me" (Job 10:2). Whenever we sense that things seem not to be going on well with us as they should, there is need for us to stop and do a checkup. We know very well that God is true to His promises and will not change in all that He has promised His people. But when the people of God are experiencing otherwise, it is reasonable to find out what could have been the cause. Job had had a very unpleasant experience. It was one not consistent with someone of his caliber who had been described as one who feared God and eschewed evil. He personally could not understand why this had to be. He had done a check on himself and could not see where in particular he had sinned against God. He knew that whatever his own human, limited eyes could not see, God obviously, is all-knowing and will certainly see. As he ple

AT THY WORD, I WILL

Health Food Devotional At Thy Word, I Will August 30, 2016 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. (Luke 5:5) In Luke chapter 5, we see an example of a person who acted on the Word and got results. Peter and John had been fishing. They had fished all night and had caught nothing. Then Jesus told Peter, "...Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught" (Luke 5:4). Peter said, "...Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net" (Luke 5:5). What change would come in our lives if we said, "At Your Word, I will!" What change would come if we would just do it because the Word said so, whether we felt like it or not. You see, we've clung to the theories of men and have ignored the living Word of God. Healing and victory belong to you and to me. The Bib

YOU CAN OVERCOME THAT CHALLENGE

Image
Tuesday, August 30, 2016 YOU CAN OVERCOME THAT CHALLENGE Matthew 14: 30 - 31 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? When Peter fixed his eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ, he successfully walked on the turbulence water and this is the secret of victory over challenges of life and wiles of the devil. You will win the battles and challenges of life if you focus your attention on God's living word rather than the problem. When you look at the problem, devil will magnify it with lots of negative and terrifying messages that will create fear in you. Once the fear comes, faith disappears, fear and doubt takes over because " There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1John 4:30.
August 30   A Good Foundation  Being rooted and grounded in love. —Ephesians 2:11–22  Scripture reading: Ephesians 2:11–22  I t is quite easy to construct a building if the foundation is secure. On the other hand, a building will be unstable if it does not have a solid understructure. Likewise, it is not very easy to rise spiritually unless we have a real spiritual power working within us. It will never do for us to be top-heavy—the base must always be very firmly set. Many of us have not gone on in the Lord because we have not had a secure foundation in Him, and we will have to consider “the pit from which [we] were dug” (Isa. 51:1). Unless we correctly understand the spiritual leadings, according to the mind of God, we will never be able to stand when the winds blow, when the trials come, and when Satan appears as “an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14).   There must be three things in our lives if we wish to go all the way with God in the fullness of Pentecost. First, we must be ground

MORE THAN THE BARGAIN

Tuesday August 30, 2016 More Than The Bargain -2 KINGS 4:8-17 Key Verse: "And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life" (2 Kings 4:17). William Colgate of the famous Colgate Toothpaste discovered this truth early in life that we usually get more than we give to God and keyed into it. He felt the urge to tithe because he recognised that God was the Giver of all that he possessed, not only of opportunity, but even of the elements which were used in the manufacture of his products. William Colgate not merely tithed one-tenth of the earnings of Colgate's soap products; but he gave two-tenths, then three-tenths, and finally five-tenths of all his income to the work of God in the world. Today, the blessings he received have outlived him. The story of the Shunemite woman in our text is a good illustration. She gave to the prophet of God and got more than she ever thought she could get. In fa
