Make Them Behold Him

SUNDAY 1 ST JULY, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional Make Them Behold Him Memory Verse: - Jn 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Bible Reading : -  John 1: 1 – 51 Message John the Baptist said He [JESUS] must increase and that he must decrease and this was manifested in his action when he pointed Jesus Christ to his followers that behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. This declaration made two of his disciples to follow Jesus Christ; one of the two that followed Jesus was Andrew, Simeon Peter’s brother. He looked for his brother and brought him to Jesus. Peter later became the pillar of the early church to whom Jesus committed the spiritual welfare of the other disciples when he resurrected before ascending to heaven. You never can tell how mighty that person you lead to Christ shall be in the Kingdom. That is the reason why you should do all things p...

The Hidden Man of the Heart

Health Food Devotional The Hidden Man of the Heart June 30, 2018 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.  (1 Peter 3:4) In my prayer lines, I sometimes have to say to people, "God's healing power went into you, because I'm conscious of that power being administered to you. But it came right back out of you. I can sense it. I can feel it coming right back into my hands. You didn't take hold of it."  You see, they tried to receive mentally, rather than spiritually. Faith is of the heart. Your heart is your spirit. Peter calls it the hidden man of the heart (1 Peter 3:4).  Then I say to them, "Keep your mind quiet and on Jesus. You cannot contact God with your mind. He is not a mind. He is a Spirit. Jesus said in John 4:24, 'God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.' God i...

Conductor Of Life

Faith Food Devotional Conductor Of Life June 30, 2018 "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life" (1 John 5:11-12).  Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature … and these signs shall follow them that believe" (Mark 16:15,17).  One of these signs Jesus said would follow believers - not the Early Church, not apostles, not pastors, not preachers, but believers - is, " …they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18).  Why? Because the life of God is in believers!  Sometimes people are specially anointed to minister healing, but that isn't what Mark 16 is talking about! Every born-again believer has the life of God, the nature of God, the God-kind of life, in him - and by the laying on of hands, that life can be imparted into the physical bodies of others!  That's why you should lay hands on the sick. When you lay hands on them,...

A Global Best-Seller

His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. —Proverbs 2:6 (TLB) It is small wonder . . . the Bible has always been the world’s best-seller! No other book can touch its profound wisdom, its poetic beauty, or the accuracy of its history and prophecy. Its critics who claimed it to be filled with forgery, fiction, and unfulfilled promises are finding that the difficulties lie with themselves, and not the Bible. Greater and more careful scholarship has shown that apparent contradictions were caused by incorrect translations, rather than divine inconsistencies. It was man and not the Bible that needed correcting. And yet—in many homes and among so-called educated people—it has become fashionable to joke about the Bible and to regard it more as a dust-catcher than as the living Word of God. . . . Too many families have used the Bible as a safe storage place for old letters and pressed flowers, and have overlooked entirely the help and assurance that G...

ARRANGED   MARRIAGE

DAILY   MANNA SUNDAY 1ST JULY,2018 ARRANGED   MARRIAGE TEXT: GENESIS 24:61-67 KEY VERSE: "And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel" (GENESIS 24:64). Marriages were arranged by parents in ancient days because it is assumed they know better than their children in deciding the best partner for them. This act is still common in many parts of the world where women are not allowed to express their own preferences for marriage partner. In our text, Isaac left the task of choosing a wife into the hands of his father, who in turn committed the project into the hands of Eleazer, his servant. After much prayers, Abraham believed God would send an angel to lead Eleazer and aid him in the selection of a good wife. Everything apparently worked out well for Eleazer. Soon, Rebekah was on her way to Isaac. But she hadn’t seen him until she got to the outskirt of the town. Though Abraham and the servant prayed for guidance before s...

Your Secured In and Out.

SATURDAY 30 TH JUNE, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional Your Secured In and Out. Memory Verse: - Ps 121:8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Bible Reading: - Psalm 121: 1 – 8 Message It is by the mercies of God that we go out and come in everyday safely, unhurt, whole, safe and sound, uninjured and unscathed; considering the dangers out there. For out there (without) are dogs, sorcerers (blood sucking demons) and whoremongers (the lewd, adulterers), and murderers (ritualists, men sellers, men slayers, men eaters, and suicide bombers), idolaters and everyone who loves and deals in falsehood – untruth, error, deception, cheating etc. [Rev22:15] We are in an evil, wicked, adulterous and perverse world full of insecurity, but God knows how to preserve His own from the wickedness all around us; the Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, he shall preserve thy soul. He knows how to hold you back if there i...

Prayer Is a Conversation

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. —Matthew 21:22 Prayer is a two-way conversation; it is our talking to God, and His talking to us. As a Christian, you have a heavenly Father who hears and answers prayer. Jesus said, “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Every man or woman whose life has counted for the church and the Kingdom of God has been a person of prayer. You cannot afford to be too busy to pray. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. Jesus Christ spent many hours in prayer. Sometimes He spent the night on a mountaintop in solitary communion with God the Father. If He felt that He had to pray, how much more do we need to pray! Wondering how to pray? Or why God isn’t answering?  Read  Prayer 101 . Prayer for the day There is inexpressible joy as I come to You in prayer, my heavenly Father.

Made Manifest

Faith Food Devotional Made Manifest June 29, 2018 "Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life [zoe] also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life [zoe] also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh" (2 Cor. 4:10-11).  Paul is talking about zoe being manifested in our mortal bodies. But he's not talking about the resurrection of the body, for "mortal" means subject to death.  When we're raised up, we'll have an immortal body. No, Paul is talking about having this zoe life of God which came into our spirits at the New Birth manifested during this life - in our death-doomed mortal flesh!  I am convinced that if we learn how to walk in the light of life, and let that life which came into us at our New Birth dominate us, there is no reason at all why we can't live to a great age, if Jesus tarries His coming. I kno...

Jesus' Healings Were Spiritual

Health Food Devotional Jesus' Healings Were Spiritual June 29, 2018 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.  (Matt. 8:13) It's a remarkable fact that when Jesus came on the scene as Healer, He demanded faith again and again. To the woman with the issue of blood, He declared, "Thy faith has made thee whole" (Mark 5:34).  To the man who came with his lunatic son, Jesus said, "...If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23). You see, the man came to Jesus and said, "If thou canst do anything, have mercy on us and help us" (Mark 9:22).  Jesus said to him, in so many words, "It's not so much a matter of what I can do as it is of what you can believe. All things are possible to him that believeth."  To the nobleman who came on behalf of his son, Jesus said, "...Go thy way; thy ...

HOPE  OF  RESURRECTION

DAILY  MANNA SATURDAY 30TH JUNE,2018 HOPE  OF  RESURRECTION TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-28 KEY VERSE: "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable" (1 CORINTHIANS 15:19). On one occasion, Michelangelo, the great artist, turned on his fellow artists in a spirit of indignation. He said, "Why do you keep filling gallery after gallery with endless pictures on the one theme of Christ in weakness, Christ on the Cross, and most of all, Christ hanging dead? Why do you concentrate on the passing episode as if it were the last work, as if the curtain dropped on Him with disaster and defeat? That dreadful scene lasted a few hours. But to the unending eternity, Christ is alive; the stone has been rolled away and He rules and reigns and triumphs!" The Christian life is lived in anticipation of a better life to come. Apostle Paul emphasised the centrality of the hope of resurrection to our lives as believers. If Christ had not resurrected, th...

The Hands of Jesus

I was hungry, [and] you gave me food . . .  —Matthew 25:35 (NEB) During the war a church in Strasburg, Germany, was totally destroyed; but a statue of Christ which stood by the altar was almost unharmed. Only the hands of the statue were missing. When the church was rebuilt, a famous sculptor offered to make new hands; but, after considering the matter, the members decided to let it stand as it was—without hands. “For,” they said, “Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work on earth. If we don’t feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, entertain the stranger, visit the imprisoned, and clothe the naked, who will?” Christ is depending on us to do the very things which He did while upon earth. My friend, if the gospel we preach does not have a social application, if it will not work effectively in the work-a-day world, then it is not the Gospel of Christ. How do you know if you’re helping people or if they’re taking advantage of you? Read Billy Graham’s response. Prayer ...

Doctors Help Nature Do Its Job

Health Food Devotional Doctors Help Nature Do Its Job June 28, 2018 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. (1 Cor. 13:9-10) Now I'm not opposed to medical healing. But doctors have just learned by experimentation what kinds of medicines will help nature do its job. God put into the human body what we call "nature."  Naturally, any body - whether the person is saved or not - will help heal itself. And most doctors will tell you that. I've had more than one doctor say, "I don't know of any medicines that will heal anyone of anything, and no other doctor does. We help nature do its work. If nature doesn't respond, there's nothing we can do."  I'll never forget when my father-in-law lay in a hospital room dead. The surgeon performed an operation on him that had never been done before in the region where he lived. (Today, they do that kind of ope...

Walking In The Light Of Life

Faith Food Devotional Walking In The Light Of Life June 28, 2018 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12). I began to see some truths about eternal life before our children were born. And I believed by the grace of God that I could walk in the light of eternal life. (If God tells me in His Word I can, then I can.) I knew walking in the light of eternal life would affect my children, and so I could predict how they would turn out. I also predicted how some of the babies born in our church around the same time would turn out. I could do that because I knew what sort of light their parents were walking in and how that would affect the children. I was right one hundred percent of the time. People can have eternal life, but if they don't walk in the light of it, developing themselves - if they don't take advantage of that life and nature - things wo...

The Lord’s Property

FRIDAY 29 TH JUNE, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional The Lord’s Property Memory Verse: - Ro 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Bible Reading: - Rom 14: 1 – 23 Message The strong believers are matured believers and the weak in faith are the babes in Christ and the strong believers need to support and nurture the weak and babes in Christ to maturity. The strong should not judge the weak and vice versa, but the strong ones should always do things that will edify the weak in faith. The strong and the weak are of God’s because of the Lordship of Christ over them. They have obeyed the voice of God that says come ye out from among them and be ye separate and I will receive you; touch not the unclean thing and I shall be a father unto you and you will be my sons and daughters says the Lord Almighty [2Cor 6: 17 – 18]. Also your body and your spirit are God’s becaus...

DON'T  KEEP  GOD  AWAY

DAILY  MANNA FRIDAY 29TH JUNE,2018 DON'T  KEEP  GOD  AWAY TEXT: PSALM 107:1-9 KEY VERSE: “They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in” (PSALM 107:4). Billionaire founder of Microsoft  Corporations, Bill Gates, was criticised by Christians across the globe when he made this comment: “…In terms of allocation of time resources, religion is not very efficient. There’s a lot more I could be doing on a Sunday morning”. To him, going to church on Sunday to worship and serve God in truth and in spirit is a waste of time. As humans, we try to solve our problems ourselves and keep God away until the situation is aggravated. When the situation further worsens, and life is now at risk, we begin to cry unto God for deliverance. The people involved in the Bible passage for today appeared to have started a journey attempting to cross the wilderness into a city of habitation without asking for guid...

Miracle Life

Faith Food Devotional Miracle Life June 27, 2018 "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light" (Eph. 5:8). The greatest miracle I've seen of eternal life affecting mentality was in a girl I'll call Mary. Mary had spent seven years in the first grade without even learning to write her name. The authorities asked her parents to take her out of school when she was fourteen years old. As an eighteen-year-old, she behaved like a two-year-old. If she happened not to be sitting with her mother in the service, she would crawl or slide under the pews, or else she would lift up her skirt and step over them, to get where her mother was. Then one night, during an evangelistic revival meeting, Mary came to the altar. There she received eternal life - the nature of God. A drastic change occurred instantly. The very next night she sat in the service and behaved like any eighteen-year-old young lady. She had fixed her hair and dre...

Divine Healing Is Spiritual

Health Food Devotional Divine Healing Is Spiritual June 27, 2018 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24) Divine healing, though it is manifested in the physical, is spiritual. It is not mental, as Christian Science and other metaphysical teachers claim. Now don't misunderstand me. People get some results through mental science. The mind does, to a great extent, control the body, and a person could get some results that way.  I know people who seemed to be miraculously healed through metaphysical cults. And I've heard people say, "If they're healed, God must have done it."  But, no, not necessarily. If it's mental healing, their minds produced it. I would rather stay sick and not be healed than to be healed through some unbelieving cult.  Metaphysical religions such as Christian Science are not biblical. They believe that God is mind, and, in effect, that their mind is God. They believe that Jesus...

Refining Fire

And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself . . .  —2 Chronicles 33:12 Why do Christians suffer? Rest assured that there is a reason for Christian people being afflicted. One reason why God’s people suffer, according to the Bible, is that it is a disciplinary, chastening, and molding process. From the Scriptures we learn that the chastening of affliction is a step in the process of our full and complete development. Affliction can also be a means of refining and of purification. Many a life has come forth from the furnace of affliction more beautiful and more useful than before. Read more about why people suffer. Take a moment to meditate on these 15 comforting Bible verses for troubled times. Prayer for the day Lord, whatever I have to face, through it let me learn more of Your love and compassion.

Gift of the Word of Knowledge

THURSDAY 28 TH JUNE, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional Gift of the Word of Knowledge Memory Verse: - 1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; Bible Reading: - Mark 14: 1 – 72 Message After one had obtained the three basic Christian experiences (salvation, sanctification and Holy Ghost Baptism), then the next step is to ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit one of which is the gift of words of knowledge. In our Bible passage of today, Christ manifested this gifts about the first three people mentioned in the chapter. First of all was the woman with expensive alabaster box of spikenard ointment which she broke and poured upon Jesus. The woman would have been inspired or led by God to offer this to Jesus. Even though the woman did not tell Jesus why she did it; Jesus by the gift of words of knowledge knew why and his explanation silenced the woman’s adversaries. The lesson here is that you give ...

KNOW  YOUR  PRIORITY

DAILY  MANNA THURSDAY 28TH JUNE,2018 KNOW  YOUR  PRIORITY TEXT: ACTS 26:13-29 KEY VERSE: "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me" (ACTS 26:18). Changing the Guard at Windsor Castle provides a colourful spectacle as the guards, usually led by a Regimental Band, march from Victoria Barracks to the castle. You will need tickets for Windsor Castle as Changing the Guard takes place inside the castle precincts. But mounting an honour guard at Buckingham Palace is not the core of army duties. The armed forces of every country have the priority to secure the territory of the nation and provide security to the citizens. Their most important duty is to dab their camouflages, pick only the essential items and move into the battlefield. The purpose of Apostle Paul’s calling and his priority was so cle...

EDIFYING  THE  BODY  OF  CHRIST

DCLM  DAILY   MANNA WEDNESDAY  27TH  JUNE,  2018 EDIFYING  THE  BODY  OF  CHRIST TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:11-16 KEY VERSE: “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (EPHESIANS 4:12). Apostle Paul revealed that when Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave some believers ministry gifts to function as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. These gifts are different from personal spiritual gifts. They are referred to as the five-fold ministry gifts for ministers. These gifts, in the church, are for the purposes of edification, equipping, growing and maturing believers from spiritual babes to mature believers. They also foster unity among believers. An Apostle refers to certain men called directly by Jesus Christ and given special authority to lay doctrinal foundation in the Church. The prophet is gifted to speak unto men’s edification, exhortation an...

Get Lined Up With God

Health Food Devotional Get Lined Up With God June 26, 2018 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.  (John 5:14) When Gary was fifteen or sixteen years old, he left home. He got away from God and became involved in the hippie movement. He actually denounced God. And that same kidney trouble that he was healed of as a nine-year-old boy came back on him.  I went to Dallas to preach, and Gary came to my meeting. He wasn't right with God. I knew he wasn't. He tried to fake it, but he didn't fool me a bit. He was seventeen or eighteen years old at the time.  I said to him, "No, I'm not going to pray for you. You're not going to get healed under the present conditions, because you're just faking it. You haven't made things right with God."  He admitted I was right. He said, "You've told the truth about it. I haven't. There are a ...

Ten Times Better

Faith Food Devotional Ten Times Better June 26, 2018 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in [three years later]…the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them TEN TIMES BETTER than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.  (Dan. 1:18-20) Each day I said, "God, give me favor with every teacher. Thank You for it. It is mine. Now impart to me, because I have the life and nature of God in me, knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom that I may be ten times better."  Now, I'm not bragging on me; I'm bragging on what God gave me. Because although I had been a "D" student before my sickness, after being born again and healed, I was the only student in my classes who made a straight "A" report...

Who Am I?

a glorious Lord! He who daily bears our burdens also gives us our salvation. —Psalm 68:19 (TLB) Edward Dahlberg, the writer, observed, “At 19, I was a stranger to myself. At 40, I asked, ‘Who am I?’ At 50, I concluded I would never know.” This unexplored personal wilderness is the home of millions of people. Ninety-two percent of all Canadian university students, according to June Callwood, the Toronto sociologist, don’t really know who they are. The Bible says that man is an immortal soul. When God made man in the first place, He created him and “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). One’s soul is the essence, the core, the eternal and real person. And he will be restless until he opens his life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. You are a masterpiece created by God Himself.  Do you have a relationship with your Creator? Watch this video on your purpose in life. Prayer for the day Almighty God, knowing I am Your c...

AS ONE SEES THE FACE OF GOD

WEDNESDAY 26 TH JUNE, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional AS ONE SEES THE FACE OF GOD MEMORY VERSE: - Gen 33:10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me. BIBLE READING: - Gen 33: 1 – 20 MESSAGE The prodigal son in Luke chapter 15 did not expect his father to fall on his neck, kiss and embrace him because of what he had done, but the compassionate father welcome him far above his expectation all because he returned from his own ways back to the control and leadership of the father. The description of Jacob in Genesis chapter 33: 10 was in consonance with the above description; meaning if a rebellious child returns to God in genuine repentance begging for forgiveness; God will in no wise cast him out. He will abundantly pardon him and adopt him into his family. He becomes a joint heir with saints and ...

GENERATIONAL  BLESSINGS

DCLM  DAILY   MANNA TUESDAY   26TH  JUNE,  2018 GENERATIONAL  BLESSINGS TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-5 KEY VERSE: "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also" (2 TIMOTHY 1:5). In the Pentecostal circles, people have come to use such words as ‘generational curse’ to mean repeated cases of ill-fated situations that might have been running through the family lines from an older generation to another. While Christians need to be wary of such sweeping generalisations, we must also be aware that one can indeed inherit or pass on generational blessing, rather than a curse. Timothy, a young man whose father was Grecian and considered a Gentile by the Jews, was blessed with a Jewish grandmother Lois, who took her time to pass her faith to her daughter, Eunice who in turn, extended the blessing of knowing God to her son, ...

Energy Under Control

You are controlled by your new nature if you have the Spirit of God living in you . . .  —Romans 8:9 (TLB) A harnessed horse contributes much more to life than a wild donkey. Energy out of control is dangerous; energy under control is powerful. God does not discipline us to subdue us, but to condition us for a life of usefulness and blessedness. In His wisdom He knows that an uncontrolled life is an unhappy life, so He puts reins on our wayward souls that they may be directed into the “paths of righteousness.” That is what God seeks to do with us; to tame us, to bring us under proper control, to redirect our energies. He does in the spiritual realm what science does in the physical realm. Science takes a Niagara River with its violent turbulence and transforms it into electrical energy to illuminate a million homes and to turn the productive wheels of industry. Hear a 1-minute message from Billy Graham on discipline and control. Prayer for the day Direct all my energy, F...

I Shall Live and Not Die

Health Food Devotional I Shall Live and Not Die June 25, 2018 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. (Ps.118:17) Years ago while I was ministering at a youth camp in the Sierra Mountains near Sonora, California, I received an emergency telephone call. The voice on the other end said, "Brother Hagin, do you remember Gary?" I did. The man was talking about his oldest boy who was nine.  "Well," he said, "he had a sore throat and we prayed about it. But it got worse. We carried him to the doctor, and the doctor said that the infection went to his kidneys. Now his kidneys have stopped functioning. The doctor said that he will be dead in a matter of minutes. He is in intensive care, and we want you to agree with us. We believe that Gary will live and not die."  I said, "I believe with you that he will live and not die."  I was at this youth camp for several weeks. Before I left, I received a little reel-to-reel tape reco...

Knowledge And Skill

Faith Food Devotional Knowledge And Skill June 25, 2018 "As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams" (Dan. 1:17). "God gave them knowledge and skill." God gave Daniel and the other three Hebrew children, knowledge and all skill. Eternal life is the nature of God. You've got God's nature in you. Know that! Believe that! Confess that! Then that nature will begin to dominate you! Learn to walk in the light of life. Learn to put that life into practice in your being. Walking in the light of that life will enhance your entire personality, and will increase your intelligence. Confession:  I am a new creation. I am born again. I am a new creature. I have the life and nature of God in my spirit. That life is the light of men. I purpose to walk in the light of life. God's life is in me. God's knowledge is in me. God's skill is in me. God's abili...
