Joy In The Morning

Image
DCLM Daily Manna Sunday April 1, 2018 Topic: Joy In The Morning Text: John 16:16-24 (KJV) Key Verse: “And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you”   (John 16:22). MESSAGE: Pain sometimes offer proceeds of joy. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy will definitely come in the morning. Jesus Christ referred to His death, which was only a few hours away and His resurrection which was to follow His death when He said to His disciples “a little while and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while and ye shall see me”. Although Jesus had often told them about this matter in plain terms that he would be killed and would rise again the third day, yet the disciples remain confused. The world would rejoice because they hoped they had conquered Him. It was expedient for Jesus to part a while with His disciples through the painful and shameful death on the cross, in order to open the floodgate

Glory in the Cross

Image
As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. —Galatians 6:14 (TLB) What glory is there in the cross? It was an instrument of torture and shame. Why did Paul glory in it? He gloried in it because the most selfless act ever performed by men or angels took place upon it. He saw-emanating from that rough, unartistic beam upon which the Son of God had been crucified—the radiant hope of the world, the end of the believer’s bondage to sin, and the love of God shed abroad in the hearts of men. A lone man dying on a cross did more to restore man’s lost harmony with God, his fellowman, and himself, than the combined genius and power of earth’s mighty. With my finite limitations, I cannot fully comprehend the mystery of Christ’s atonement. I only know that all who come to the cross in simple, trusting faith lose all their guilty stains and find peace with God. Listen to Billy Graham talk about the importance of the cross . Jesus is the Word of God

Image
Health Food Devotional Jesus is the Word of God April 1, 2018 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Ps. 107:20) Under the Old Testament, the Word that God sent was spoken through the prophets. Under the New Testament, the Word He sent was the Lord Jesus Christ.  John's Gospel says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:1-3) Then verse 14 says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...." The Lord Jesus Christ is called "The Word."  So how did God send His Word to heal you? He sent Jesus to take your infirmities and bear your sicknesses (Matt. 8:17). In the mind of God, you're already healed. First Peter 2:24 says, "...by whose stripes ye WERE healed."  God sent His Word and healed you. If you need healing, I dare y

Faith Food Devotional Seated Together April 1, 2018 "Even when we were dead in sins, God hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:5-6). The very act that raised the Lord from the dead also raised His Body. (The head and the body are naturally raised together.) Furthermore, the very act that seated Christ also seated His Body. Where are we sitting? In heavenly places! Right now! We're not going to sit there sometime; God has made us sit together now in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Christ is seated at the Father's own right hand. Therefore, we are seated at the Father's own right hand! (The right hand is the place of authority. God carries out all of His plan and program through His right hand - through Christ, through His spiritual Body, which is the Church.) The right hand of the throne of Majesty in the heavens is the center of p

OUT OF AN HORRIBLE PIT

SUNDAY APRIL1, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional OUT OF AN HORRIBLE PIT MEMORY VERSE: - Ps 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. BIBLE READING: - Psalm 40: 1 – 17 MESSAGE There will be no day without night and no darkness without light; there will be no testimony without trials, weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Whatever devil and his cohorts may stir against you as a child of God, it is to show forth the glory of God, and testimony will surely come out of it. God delivered, does delivers and will yet deliver his own from any trouble. Whatever horrible problem comes your way, do not fret thyself over it, let it draw you closer to God; wait patiently for him and he will incline unto you, and hear your cry. Jonah created problem for himself by refusing what God had decided he should do ; he was running away from his divine assignment and serious stor

From Hunter To Hunted

DCLM Daily Manna Saturday March 31, 2018 Text: Esther 8:7-14 (KJV) Key Verse: “Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey” (Esther 8:11). MESSAGE: Each year, more than four million animals are trapped and killed for their fur in the United States. Millions more are trapped and killed in the name of “livestock” and “game” protection and for “nuisance” animal control. A fox trapper and his friend were shooting a video about fox trapping tips. But at the end, he suddenly got caught in his own fox trap. After Haman’s execution in a dramatic turn of events, his office passed on to Mordecai. While this was a worthy prize, it was not enough. There was still business at hand; the edict which the evil Haman had written to exterminate the

Possess the Land!

Health Food Devotional Possess the Land! March 31, 2018 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples [examples]: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1 Cor. 10:11) The Bible teaches us that what happened to those in the Old Testament happened as examples for us. For example, God delivered Israel out of Egypt, which symbolizes the world, and led them into Canaan's land. What does Canaan's land symbolize?  In the early years, I was taught that Canaan's land was a type or foreshadowing of Heaven. But how could Canaan's land ever symbolize Heaven since there aren't going to be any battles or enemies in Heaven? There are no giants there who are against us, no cities to take, and no battles to fight in Heaven!  I believe that Canaan's land is a type of the baptism in the Holy Ghost and of our rights and privileges in Christ Jesus, including divine healing.  God said to Israel, "I give you the

Raised Together

Faith Food Devotional Raised Together March 31, 2018 "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power, which he wrought in Christ, WHEN HE WHO RAISED HIM from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, AND YOU hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins" (Eph. 1:19-20, 2:1).  If you were to open your Bibles to Ephesians 2:1, a King James Version would look something like this: "AND you  hath he quickened , who were dead in trespasses and sins." When a word is italicized in the King James Version, that means the word is not in the original manuscripts; the translators have added it. So the original reads, "And you who were dead in trespasses and sins."  I wanted you to see that the verb which controls Ephesians 2:1 is back in Ephesians 1:20! (Paul didn't write in chapter and verse; men divided Paul's writings later for easy reference.) Our text today makes it clearer for you. Notice the capitalized wor

The Hope of Resurrection

He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus . . .  —2 Corinthians 4:14 The resurrection of Christ brings hope. The late Emil Brunner once said, “What oxygen is for the lungs, such is hope for the meaning of human life.” As the human organism is dependent on a supply of oxygen, so humanity is dependent on its supply of hope. Yet today hopelessness and despair are everywhere. Peter, who himself was given to despair during the episode of Calvary, writes in a triumphant note, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again into a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” There is hope that mistakes and sins can be forgiven. There is hope that we can have joy, peace, assurance, and security in the midst of the despair of this age. There is hope that Christ is coming soon—this is what is called in Scripture “the blessed hope.” There is hope that there will come some day a new

GREAT ADDITION

Image
SATURDAY 31 ST MARCH, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional GREAT ADDITION MEMORY VERSE: - Mt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. BIBLE READING: - Mt 6: 25 – 33 MESSAGE God had created us in such a way that we need to seek him for one thing or the other, and that must be in the order laid down by God which Jesus our saviour revealed to us in today’s reading. The command is that we should seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness first. The kingdom of God is within those that are born again [Lk17:21]; because Jesus was addressing his disciples here and it is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost[ Rom 14: 17].  If you heed the call of salvation through Christ, then you have laid a sure foundation for yourself on Christ the rock. Jesus said if anyone hears his sayings and do them, then he is a wise man that laid the foundation of his house on solid rock. Th

The Never-Failing Remedy of God's Word

Health Food Devotional The Never-Failing Remedy of God's Word March 30, 2018 ...he shall have whatsoever he saith.  (Mark 11:23) The next morning, Dr. Yeomans and her sister fed their patients breakfast. Then Dr. Yeomans asked this particular woman if she had been saying what she told her to say.  She said, "Oh, it seemed like I didn't sleep but ten minutes last night. I must have said it ten thousand times, but it doesn't mean a thing in the world to me. I don't understand it."  Dr. Yeomans said, "That's all right, honey. You just keep saying it over and over again, every waking moment."  If people would work at receiving divine healing like they ought to, it would work for them. But so many times, they only do it half-heartedly and then go on thinking about something else. In that case, it won't work for them. They have to get down to business.  Well, on the third day, Dr. Yeomans went to this such woman's room again an

To Usward

Faith Food Devotional To Usward March 30, 2018 "Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward" (Ps. 40:5).  Did you notice this phrase in Ephesians 1:19, "The exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe?"  All the demonstration of the glory of God shown in the manifestation of His omnipotence pointed to man "to usward."  The Cross of Christ "with what is revealed of obedience to God, atonement for sin, and crushing defeat for the enemies of divine authority shows us a representative Man."  Christ was our Representative, our Substitute, overcoming for mankind and preparing a throne and a heavenly ministry for those who should overcome through Him.  Therefore, the source of our authority is found in the resurrection and seating of Christ by God. In the Book of Ephesians, we learn that God wants the Church to gain revelation knowledge of all that this means to us.  Co

HIS UNIVERSAL ATONEMENT

Image
DAILY M Ⓜ ANNA FRIDAY 30TH MARCH, 2018 HIS UNIVERSAL ATONEMENT TEXT: HEBREWS 9:24-28 KEY VERSE: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (HEBREWS 9:28). As some missionaries fled for their lives from some Chinese bandits, a nightfall overtook them. They huddled together in an old abandoned building. It was filthy and vermin infested. Among the fleeing missionaries were Archibald Glover and his family. After a wretched night, little Hendley Glover said, “Daddy, I think Jesus must have slept in a place like this when he had no where to go.” “Yes my boy, I think it is very likely” answered Archibald. Then little five years old Hendley said, “Then we ought to be glad to be like Jesus and suffer for Him!” Every human has an appointment to die the physical death. However, Jesus offered Himself as a universal sacrifice so that we would not have to die spiritually. Spiritual

Endless Forgiveness

Image
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us . . .  —1 Thessalonians 5:9,10 Look at Christ’s death. In one biography of the great American, Daniel Webster, 863 pages deal with his career and just five pages are devoted to his death. In Hay’s life of Abraham Lincoln there are 5,000 pages but only 25 are devoted to the dramatic story of his assassination and death. In most biographies the deaths of the subjects are mere incidents at the close of the books. But when we come to the four “biographies” of Jesus, the four Gospels, we are confronted with a strange fact. One-third of Matthew is given to a description of the death of Christ. One-third of Mark, one-fourth of Luke, and one-half of John are given to His death. All these pages are devoted to the last 24 hours of His life. The death of Jesus Christ is a significant fact in human history, because Jesus Christ came for the express purpose of dying for sinners. When He left

On the other hand, the other son; faithful son who remained with the father has all things. You Are Redeemed From the Curse of the Law

Health Food Devotional You Are Redeemed From the Curse of the Law March 29, 2018 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.  (Gal. 3:13) Dr. Yeomans had every scripture on the subject of divine healing marked in her Bible. For two hours, she sat next to this woman who had tuberculosis and read those healing scriptures to her.  Then at the end, she read Deuteronomy chapter 28 and Galatians chapter 3. She read them over and over again. Then she just read Deuteronomy 28:61 and Galatians 3:13.  Dr. Yeomans told the woman, "Every waking moment, say, 'According to Deuteronomy 28:61, sickness and disease is a curse of the Law. Tuberculosis is a curse of the Law. But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the Law. Therefore, I no longer have TB.'"  The woman said, "But I don't understand it."  Dr. Yeomans said, "T

Resurrection Power

Faith Food Devotional Resurrection Power March 29, 2018 "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection" (Phil. 3:10).  Paul was actually praying in Ephesians that the Church would receive revelation knowledge of spiritual things.  If you've been praying the Ephesian prayers for yourself, as I've suggested, you know that Paul wanted the believers at Ephesus to know: The exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.  (Eph. 1:19-21) There was such a manifestation of the divine omnipotence of God's power in raising Jesus from the dead that it is actually the mightiest working of God!  And God wants us to know what happen

Danger Of Self-Will

Image
D.C.L.M Daily Manna Thursday March 29, 2018  Danger Of Self-Will Text: Judges 14:1-11 (KJV) Key Verse:   “Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well”   (Judges 14:3). MESSAGE Not many people will like to be remembered for what they otherwise would have been, especially when there is clear evidence that they had tremendous potentials to be something else. History reserves unkind remarks for such people for their wasted, God- given gifts and privileges, though they had attained some measure of success. Samson was intended by God to be a Nazarite and live according to God’s highest standard for His people. He grew up in Zorah and wanted to marry a Philistine woman from Timnah. This was a clear contravention of God’s commandment on mixed marriages. Alt

Cleansed by the Blood

Image
. . unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. —Revelation 1:5 Blood is mentioned 460 times in the Bible. Fourteen times in the New Testament Jesus spoke of His own blood. Why? Because by the shedding of His blood, He accomplished the possibility of our salvation. He paid the penalty for our sin and redeemed us. The penalty for our sin and rebellion is death; Jesus stepped out and said, “I’ll take that death.” He voluntarily laid down His life and took the penalty we deserve. That’s what the cross is all about. The blood of Jesus Christ not only redeems us, it justifies us. Being justified means more than being forgiven. I can say, “I forgive you,” but I can’t justify you. But God not only forgives the past, He clothes you in righteousness as though you had never committed a sin. Yet it cost the blood of His Son on the cross. Why does God require blood to be shed? Listen to Billy Graham’s explanation. Read More: Why do Christians put such an emphasi

Where Do you Belong?

Image
Thursday 29th March, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional WHERE DO YOU BELONG? MEMORY VERSE: -  Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: BIBLE READING: - Eph1 & 2 Believers are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all powers and principalities of darkness. No demon can deter the believer who is seated with Christ    far above all the works of the enemy! Our seating and reigning with Christ in heavenly places is a position of authority, honor, and triumph—not failure, depression, and defeat. Since the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has the triumph and victory over the devil and his cohorts in every encounter, why does it seem so many believers are subject to Satan and his deceptions? Whether or not believers are victorious over the devil depends on what view they have of themselves as the Church—militant, defeated, or triumphant. It all depends on how well they understand their position in Christ.

God Sent His Word To Heal You

Image
Health Food Devotional God Sent His Word To Heal You March 28, 2018 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Ps. 107:20) Dr. Yeomans and her sister were both doctors and had a beautiful home in southern California - actually a two-story mansion - which they turned into a "faith home."  They would take patients into their home to get them healed by divine power, not by medicine. They could only handle four patients at a time because Dr. Yeomans traveled and taught most of the time. Her sister, Amy Yeomans, was the one who took care of the patients.  What did they do to get people healed? They simply taught them from the Word of God. It wasn't the Holy Ghost initiating anything, such as a gift of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:9-11). The people were healed by initiating their own healing on the basis of their faith in the Word of God.  In Dr. Yeomans' day, tuberculosis was the number-two killer in America. As soon as a patient wa

Source

Faith Food Devotional Source March 28, 2018 "Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19). Authority is delegated power. Its value depends on the force behind the user. Jesus said, "I have given you authority." Who gave it? Jesus did. Who is Jesus? Jesus is God manifested in the flesh! That means that God said it. Therefore, God said "I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy." (Serpents and scorpions represent demons and evil spirits and the power of the enemy.) God Himself is the Power, the Force, behind this authority. The believer who is fully conscious of divine authority can therefore face the enemy without fear or hesitation. Behind the authority possessed by the believer is a Power far greater than the power that backs our enemies. And those enemies are compelled to

CLEANSING BEFORE OCCUPATION

Image
DAILY   MANNA WEDNESDAY 28TH MARCH, 2018 CLEANSING BEFORE OCCUPATION TEXT: JOSHUA 10:28-37 KEY VERSE: "And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho" (JOSHUA 10:30). Israelites’ conquest of the Southern region of the land of Palestine may be a moving account but really, it was God at work: cleansing the land of evil. God would not allow His people to inherit the pollution of those they would displace. So, these heathen nations had to be judged for their wickedness and immorality "…because of these abominations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee" (Deuteronomy 18:12). Today’s passage therefore was more than the story of a conquest, but also a promise fulfilled concerning the Lord’s preparation for His people and an object lesson that God’s

The Light of the World

Image
The Lord is my light and my salvation . . .  —Psalm 27:1 Under the picture of Peter Milne, hanging in the church he founded on the little New Hebrides Island of Nguna, these words are found: “When he came, there was no light. When he died, there was no darkness.” When Christ came into the world, there was no light. Matthew (quoting Isaiah) said of Him, “The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up” (Matthew 4:16). Harry Lauder once said that during his boyhood, he could tell where the lamplighter was “by the trail of light he left behind him.” Christ was the heavenly Lamplighter. Everywhere He went, the midnight gloom of sin and despair disappeared before Him. Go deeper: Read about how to be a light in a dark world Prayer for the day My heart and soul praise You, my risen Redeemer, for the light that pervades the deepest gloom and transforms our lives with Your love.

THE RULER OVER ME

Image
WEDNEDAY 28 TH MARCH, 2018 Words of Life Daily Devotional THE RULER OVER ME MEMORY VERSE: - Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. BIBLE READING: - Col 1: 1 – 29 MESSAGE Jesus is the light of the world (Jn 8:12) and he referred to believers also that they are the light of the world (Mt 5:14). Anybody in Christ is in the light but every other person without Christ is in darkness and rulers of darkness of this world have control over them. 1Jn 5:19 and we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. The word wickedness here was translated in amplified Bible to mean “under the power of the evil one”. You cannot be neutral, if you are not in the light, you will be in darkness and vice versa. If you are not of Christ you are under the control of the devil, the evil one. The highest levels of evil sp
