GREAT ADDITION
MEMORY VERSE: - Mt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
BIBLE READING: - Mt 6: 25 – 33
MESSAGE
God had created us in such a way that we need to seek him for one thing or the other, and that must be in the order laid down by God which Jesus our saviour revealed to us in today’s reading.
The command is that we should seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness first. The kingdom of God is within those that are born again [Lk17:21]; because Jesus was addressing his disciples here and it is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost[Rom 14: 17]. If you heed the call of salvation through Christ, then you have laid a sure foundation for yourself on Christ the rock. Jesus said if anyone hears his sayings and do them, then he is a wise man that laid the foundation of his house on solid rock. That is the only way to be recognized by God if you come through Jesus the way, the truth and the life. So don’t just join an assembly or a church without first yielding to the Lordship of Jesus without which your religious activies will be in vain.
 Do not seek God for healing, deliverance, protection, preservation and provision first, but seek to have the giver of these things as your Lord and saviour; open the door of your heart for the triune God to dwell in and all these things shall be added unto you. Disciples of Christ obeyed and yielded their lives unto the Lord; followed him everywhere,learning of him and eventually the power of the kingdom was added unto them so much more that their shadows healed and delivered those that were oppressed of the devil.
Be determined to live according to God’s word and leading of the spirit of God for the kingdom’s righteousness sake, perfecting your holiness through the fear of God. Then when you ask for other things biblically, they shall be added.
That which will be added I termed great addition because our salvation is great and was offered by great God through great saviour: Jesus Christ.
God who had given us his only begotten son to be sacrificial lamb that takes away the sin of the whole world will be happy to give us all things if we appreciate the first gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Therefore, repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour and all other things will be added unto you.
Confession of the Day
I have assurance that whatsoever I ask God, He will give me because I have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour; the foundation of Christian faith.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters.
