THE HIDDEN MAN

October 22
THE HIDDEN MAN
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. — 1 PETER 3:4
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. — 2 COR 4:16
Let’s allow God to tell us what the heart is. In First Peter 3:4, God says that the heart is a man — a hidden man.
That is, this hidden man is hidden to the physical senses. You can’t see him with your physical eye, nor feel him with your
physical hand. That’s because he is not a physical being; he is the “inward man” spoken of in Second Corinthians 4:16.
These two expressions found in Scripture give us God’s definition of the human spirit: “The inward man” and “the hidden man of the heart.”
Confession
I believe God from the hidden man of my heart. I believe God from my inward man. I believe God from my spirit.
