SO SHALL YE PROSPER
MEMORY VERSE: - 2Ch 20:20
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of
Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah,
and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be
established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
BIBLE READING: - Psalm 1: 1 – 6
MESSAGE
Jehoshaphat,
king of Judah had the right attitude during troublous times; when the Moabites,
Amorites and Mount Seir come against Judah to battle, he set himself to seek
help from God and he proclaimed prayer and fasting. While they were in the
presence of God with their little ones, the word of prophecy came:
2Ch 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and
see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be
dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.
When Jehoshaphat
heard this, he worshipped the Lord and inspiringly told the people to believe
in God for stability and strength and believe also God’s prophets for their
prosperity.
He believed
the word spoken by Jahaziel the son of Zachariah, the Levite as the word of God
and encouraged the people to do likewise and at the end the enemies were conquered
through the help of God.
They enemies
were unable to take their possessions from them because they believed the words
spoken by the prophet. Bible is the word of God whenever you read it, believe
it, act it out and you will prosper in all your endeavours.
The scripture
says if you are not a forgetful hearer of the word, but a doer of the word, you
will prosper in all you do.
Jas 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he
being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed
in his deed.
Jesus declared
that if any man loves him he will do his word; himself and father will love
that person and will make their abode with him [John 14:23]. God was with
Joseph and he prospered everywhere he turned; this God had not changed, he
will prosper you if you diligently hearken to his word and do it. If God is
truly with you, you cannot beg for bread, he will bless you.
Therefore,
believe your pastors as they preach the undiluted words of God to you, act out
the words and you shall prosper.
Paying of
tithe and offering is another good way of receiving blessings from the Lord,
but obedience to every jot or tittle of the word of God is better. Joseph in
Egypt sowed only obedience and it was possible for God who delights in the
prosperity of his children to be with him.
Believe the
word of God from your pastors, teachers, leaders and evangelists; and shall be
prospered by God.
Confession
of the Day
Prosperity
in all ramifications are mine as I live according to his words of prophecy.
