Stay Open to God

November 12
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall
also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that
dwelleth in you.—ROMANS 8:11
Stay Open to God
Don’t try to dictate to God the way in which you’ll receive
healing. I’ve had the Lord say to me sometimes in the area of
healing, “Now this is the only way you’re going to get it this
time. And if you don’t get it this way, then you just won’t get it.
You’ll do without it.” Well, I got lined up with Him in a hurry
and got my healing. We need to stay open to the Spirit of God and let Him guide
us and direct us. We need to realize that the healing power of
God is just as real today as it ever was. It didn’t cease to exist
when Jesus died on the Cross. I’ve heard people say, “Yes, but
Jesus was anointed with healing power.” But that healing power
didn’t come from Him; it came from God.
Acts 10:38 says, “How GOD ANOINTED JESUS OF
NAZARETH with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went
about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with him.”
Also, the healing power of God didn’t cease to exist when Paul
died. I’ve heard people say, “Yes, but Paul was an apostle.” Look
at Acts 19:11 again. It doesn’t tell you what Paul did. It tells you
what God did. “And GOD wrought special miracles by the hands
of Paul.” God is not dead. The healing power of God is just as
real today as it ever was.
Confession:
Healing power comes from God. I follow the leading of the
Holy Spirit in receiving my healing from God. However God
wants to heal me is fine with me. As I follow His direction, my
mortal body is quickened with healing power.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters. With what boldness, then, we can pray for finances to meet our obligations! Having all of our needs met is according to God’s will!
