Labour for an Enduring Meat

Memory Verse: - John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Bible Reading: - John 6: 1 – 71
Message
It takes commitment, willingness, sacrifice, conviction and labour to move from one location to another in seeking for Jesus the master, the healer and the coming king, but seek him wisely and not for miracles and prosperity alone that are temporal, but for the meat that endures to eternity which Christ was ready to give them free of charge without labour.
Though the food for their souls is with Christ who was ready to give it out freely, but they still need to labour to get to where he is for them to receive the meat that endures forever from Him.
Give more attention to things of heaven than mundane things that will not last forever. Worldly attires, worldly amusement, and worldly possessions will not last long; they are temporal and must be valued less than heavenly treasures.
Pray earnestly for salvation with faith in atoning work of Christ, consecrate yourself for sanctification experience and tarry before the Lord for Holy Ghost baptism; neglect not to diligently seek the Lord for the gifts of the spirit with which you can do exploits for God.
Give yourself freely for the work in His vineyard and for the salvation of sinners around you for these things have eternal values.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Travail in prayers and be diligent to make your calling an election sure, be watchful, faithful and true to the end and you shall in no wise lose your reward in eternity which the Lord had promised to those that love him and his appearing the second time for believers.
Remember the word of Christ in Luke 12:15 that says:
“……..Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
Confession of the Day
I will labour for things above where Christ in whom I dwell is and there will I lay my treasures.
Prayer Points

I pray Lord that you deliver me from the deceitfulness of riches and cares of this life that cripple and make shipwreck of Christian faith and profession. Let me be able to labour freely and fervently for spiritual things alone holding mundane things with a loose hand so it won’t be able to choke God’s power in our lives.
