Cast Down Imaginations
Memory Verse: - 2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Bible Reading: - 2Cor 10: 1 – 6
Message
A converted Christian must be renewed in his thought life if he ever wants to defeat devil all the time. He must walk by faith and not by sight, senses or reasoning; there is a spiritual battle between the head and heart of a man; between the flesh and the spirit and he who holds Satan in the arena of faith and not reasoning will defeat him always. How can this be done? You must cast down every time any imagination; suggestion or reasoning that contradicts the word and promises of God. Bring such thought into captivity; jettison such thought, do not feed that thought, do not ruminate over such thought.
You are carnal if you allow imaginations, thoughts of the devil, senses or fleshly reasoning to control you because things you can see are temporal and carnal weapons that destroyed the ten spies in the wilderness and made the right hand man of the king to be destroyed because he did not believe the word spoken by the prophet of God.
2Ki 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
2Ki 7:19 And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. 20 And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.
2Ch 20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I admonish you to dwell always in the arena of faith, walk always in the spirit, that is in the word of God which is spirit and the life and you shall always have dominion over the devil. Don’t allow the word of an unconverted man to control you or the thought of the devil for they always exalt themselves against the word of God; but they will fall, crumble and be grounded to powder if you abide in faith which is the word of God.
Confession of the Day
I cast down reasoning and imaginations at variance to God’s word; bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ; aligning myself to God’s word; rejecting all that contradicts His [God] word; and to me victory is sure all the time. I think what God says and do what God says.
Prayer Points
Lord, help me to always act on your word, deliver me from carnality which is the arms of the flesh that cannot save me. Teach my hands to war and renew me always in the inner man while I pray and act on the word always.
