Message
According to Proverb 17 verse 6, children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers. Spiritually, your spiritual children begotten through prayers, evangelism and diligent follow up are your glory as a believer as revealed by Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul. He also revealed that he travailed in prayers for his little children till Christ is formed in them:
Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
You must seek for them prayerfully till Christ is formed in them and they shall be mighty instruments in God’s hand to affect their generation positively for the Lord.
As a true believer, you cannot afford to be barren spiritually; you must strive to have converts – your joy, glory and the seal of your followership so that your joy in the Lord might be full when you see your children doing exploits for their God.
How joyful do you think that spiritual fathers and mothers of great and worldwide preachers like Reinnard Bonke, Youngi Choe, Kenneth Hagin, Adeboye, Olukoya, Kumuyi to mention but a few will be when they see the exploits their converts are doing worldwide.
You never can tell how mighty that little soul you are praying for, preaching to, and following up will be in the hand of God; where you cannot reach as a father or mother your children can go far beyond that place. This is the reason why you need to prayerfully search for souls and win them over for the Lord.
Jn 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
What Peter did for God was far beyond what Andrew [his brother that brought him to Jesus] did. The time of sowing the word, praying and visiting might not be palatable, but it shall be joyous and glorious in the end. That is why the Psalmist says:
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” [Ps 126:5 – 6]
Therefore, seek and travail in prayers till your children abound in the Lord.
