Message
King David, the beloved of God and a man after God’s
own heart was in his life time troubled and tried most of the time; but he did
not allow self to take over him; he did not rely on the arms of the flesh; he
used his weapon of prayer and faith in God appropriately and at the end was
counted among the generals of God.
Our text today revealed what he uses to do in troublous
times; he cries to God in prayer and believes the case is settled and light
normally shines in his ways. He said “from the end of the world will I cry unto
thee when my heart is overwhelmed, crushed and enveloped by fear”
He did not only pray, he believed that God has heard
him which is one of the heritages of the servants of God.
You
must let this be settled in you that God answers true worshippers as revealed
by the scriptures in John 9:31 that “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any
man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” And
in 1 John 5:14 John the beloved says “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any
thing according to his will, he heareth us:” God himself says
in Jeremiah 33:3 that Call
unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which
thou knowest not.
Therefore,
answer to prayers is one of the heritages of God’s fearers and worshippers. In addition,
their sustenance is from God upon whom the rely; he is their strong tower and a
rock higher than they whom no mighty warrior of this earth and beyond can
confront.
You
have a sure protection, provision and power if you do not rely on self or any
man but God alone. He knows the end from the start, he can hold you back from
the danger ahead of you; he can make you walk in the path of righteousness thus
preventing you from the ambushment of your adversaries.
So, when you come to God in prayers be fully persuaded
that you have come to him that is able to hear and solve your problems and
believe it is done after prayers for that is your heritage as a partaker of the
common wealth of Israel through Jesus our Lord.
Hence, no worry, no anxiety since you can pray for God
had through our Lord Jesus Christ given us all things that pertain to life and
godliness through the knowledge of him that had called us to glory and to
virtue.
Our protection, preservation, provision, deliverance
and salvation are sure in Christ Jesus.
Confession of the Day:
- God is my refuge; a strong tower and a rock higher that I; on him alone I rely.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, help me not to look away from you the rock of my salvation to any
other, help me to be fully persuaded in you and you alone in Jesus name.
