Polluted Land
Memory verse: - Numbers 35:33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Bible Reading: - Numbers 35:1 – 34
Message
Today’s text reveals that an innocent blood shed deliberately cannot be cleansed except by the blood of him that shed such blood; meaning if you kill a person intentionally you must also be killed in return to balance the equation; otherwise, that is blood shed unknowingly shall be overlooked after thorough investigation that it was not intentional but the slayer shall abide in the land of refuge till the anointed high priest at that time died before being restored to his homeland. It is that serious. God that gave them such command then is still the same God today, he has not changed; he hastes shedding of blood because it pollutes the land and makes it uninhabitable for God. Cain was the first person to shed blood presumptuously and he reaped God’s displeasure for that purpose because the blood of Abel his brother was crying for vengeance. Can you imagine how disturbing the blood of multitudes shed by religious fanatics and ritualists that are crying day and night for vengeance could be? What shall we say about the aborted ones and the one dumped into soak – away by heartless mothers? The land truly is polluted; and it is only the blood of Jesus that can atone for the sins of slayers of men.
Hence, raise your voice and cry aloud to God for mercy and warn sinners and evil doers to repent from their evil ways of shedding innocent blood.
Aside, the fact that the land is polluted, no murderer will get to the kingdom of God because God warns that we should not commit murder. Hence, abstain from all appearance of evil and do not let murder be once named among you as children of God.
Note this also that hatred towards any of your fellow being without cause makes you a murderer, hence do not pollute yourself through hatred thereby making God to cast you off. God wants to dwell in your family but hatred, malice, animosity and cold war can keep him back; therefore, teach your children at home to avoid hatred and other vices that can keep God away from your family.
Confession of the Day
I will shed no blood intentionally; hatred I detest, malice and animosity I jettison; they shall not have dominion over me. I shall value and care for other creatures like me for they are the handiwork of God – the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer Points

Lord, you are avenger of men slayers; kindly help me to live according to your words at home and abroad; help me to love that which you love and to hate that which you hate; deliver me from shedding intentionally human blood which you detest for whatever reason; create in me pure heart and holy hand in Jesus name [Amen]
