                          Life Eternal
Memory Verse: - Jn 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Bible Reading: - Luke 9: 1 – 62

                            Message
Jesus wanted to know whether his disciples truly knew who he was, so he asked them, who do you think I am?  Simeon Peter said “The Christ of God” meaning the anointed one of God; son of the living God [Mt 16:16].
The only true God is the God our creator – the maker of heaven and earth through Jesus our Lord and saviour for all things were made by him and without him was nothing made. He is the word of God through whom all things were created; he has been with God right from beginning and will be with him from eternity to eternity. He is more than all prophets before and after him; he is the word personified and himself is God because the Bible says “and the word was God” [John1:1]. Jesus is God the son and cannot be compared with any other prophet.
You must know God as your creator who is compassionate and does not want anyone to perish in sin; so he sent Jesus [his word] to Mary the virgin, the word become flesh and dwell among us for our salvation – Jesus the Lamb of God.
Jesus was sent here by God to save the lost ones and he himself said in Luke 19:10 that “… the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”
God sent him to shed his blood for the remission of your sins – nothing else can atone for your sins but the blood of Jesus. He said “….this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” [Matt 26:28]
Know God as your creator, your provider, your keeper and present help in the time of need; he is the almighty father and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ who himself testify of Jesus as His beloved son in whom he is well pleased.
Lk 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
God is the Supreme Father, the Almighty; I am that I am our provider, protector, supplier of all needs and the keeper of our souls. Christ links us with God as the truth, the way, and the life without which we cannot have access to God. He is the only mediator between man and God; our prayers to God must be through him, otherwise it will not be answered. He is the only propitiation for our sins, no one else shed his blood for the remission of our sins save Jesus, hence you must know and accept him as your Lord and saviour before eternal life can eventually be your portion.
Bible says the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If you yield all to Christ whom God had sent for that purpose, you will have life of God in you with power to overcome sins, self, Satan, evil spirits and the world.
Confession of the Day
I have eternal life in me through Jesus Christ my Lord and my Saviour.
Prayer Points
Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus to die for my salvation, Holy Spirit divine, thank you for leading me to Christ and Christ my Saviuor, thank you for your sacrificial death for my sake. Help me to abide in you till I see you in Paradise. Let your life in me be renewed every day. Toughen my spiritual muscles to stand firmly to the end.
