                       A RENEWED MIND
MEMORY VERSE: - Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
BIBLE READING: - Psalm 1: 1 – 3
MESSAGE

By inspiration, Paul revealed to us from the above Bible passage that God wants submitted bodies, and transformed minds. The mind in this context is referring to your soul and the reason for that is that God knows that is your greatest defense against Satan. WHEN YOUR MIND IS RENEWED with the word, your thinking is transformed leading to transformation in your action. You are indeed renewed or transformed when your thinking and acting is transformed.
The Bible says when your mind is renewed; you will know what the good, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God is for your life.
To renew your mind, you will have to meditate on the word of God because the word is spirit and life that has the ability to renew the mind of man.
To meditate on the word of God means to actively read, think on, speak and dwell upon the word. Fill your mind and thinking with the word of God and that is why we were admonished in Col 3:16 that “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”
God told Joshua that prosperity and good success will come by meditating and observing to do according to all that was written in the book of the Law. So success and victory over the devil and his wiles will come by meditating and acting on the word of God. Talk and dwell on the word, not on your problems, and the devil won’t have much to work with your life.
Much of what is called “demonic” activity is not caused by demons at all. It is actually the fruit of a believer’s unredeemed, unrenewed mind – thinking and acting like the world does. An unrenewed, unredeemed mind gives access to the devil because the mind is the doorway through which the devil gains access to people.    
You are to actively meditate on the Word of God with your mind so your thinking can be changed or transformed [Psalm1:1 – 3]. Unless your thinking is transformed you can think the devil’s thoughts and begin acting just like unsaved people do. But Romans12:2 says that renewing your mind transforms you!. That is the way the Bible says you will be transformed, not by trying to cast a devil out of you.
