Speak Righteousness
Memory verse: -Psalms52:3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Bible Passage: - Psalms 52
Message
Christ our Lord and saviour is the truth and the life, whosoever abideth in him lies not to his neighbour, he speaks the whole truth from the inward part because the old man in his depraved nature is crucified at the cross with Christ; he is now Christlike; he is not the one living again, but Christ liveth on the inside of him; old things are passed away and he is now a new man. He who claims to be a Christian and lies at ease (which is the very nature of the devil) has not seen Christ neither known him.
Mankind lost his power of dominion and authority in the garden of Eden when he succumbed to the lies of the devil who beguiled Eve. So, if you tell lies easily then you are under the control of the devil who is the father of all liars.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.(John8:44)
Our text this morning shows us clearly that lying is the nature of the unregenerate, stubborn and the wicked who delights in boasting himself in mischief; whose tongue deviseth mischiefs like a sharp razor working deceitfully; who loves evil than good; speaking devouring words; who makes not God his strength but the devil.
Aquila and Priscilla his wife devised mischief and came to Peter – the man of God with lies; they died on the spot and because God does not judge instantly like this today, the heart of some ungodly believers are waxed gross in them to indulge in lies; they are on the dangerous ground; they that are like that had opened their chest to the spiritual fiery arrow of the devil.
As a true believer you cannot lie and from experience the very spirit of Christ in you will not allow you to speak guile; you will speak the whole truth always, you will speak righteousness for the righteousness of God through Christ is imputed upon you.
In the book of Colossians chapter three and in verse nine (Col. 3:9) we are commanded to:
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And finally, all liars shall not inherit the kingdom of God who cannot lie.
Confession of the Day
I will not lie by his special grace, for I am regenerated and have the truth in me.
Prayer Point

Lord, speaking the truth always demands your grace and boldness, therefore, give me power not to beguile anyone within and without thy fold. Help me to be valiant for the truth.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters.
