The Lordship Of Jesus

Faith Food – July 1 By Rhema Team, Jul 1, 2019 The Lordship Of Jesus Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.  — ROMANS 6:4 Some translations of Romans 10:9 read, “. . . if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart . . . thou shalt be saved.” That means you must confess Jesus as your Lord and acknowledge His lordship over your life in order to be saved. The reason for this is obvious. We’ve been the servants and the subjects— as well as the children — of Satan, the enemy of God. We have belonged to the kingdom of the devil. Now we want to leave that kingdom and become “naturalized citizens” of God’s Kingdom. But before we can do this, we must swear allegiance to the new fatherland, so to speak. We must make an absolute, unconditional break with our old fatherland. So, the Bible says, we must confess Jesus

Healing Works From The Inside Out

Health Food – July 1 By Rhema Team, Jul 1, 2019 Healing Works From The Inside Out While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal..  — 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 Healing starts on the inside and then it appears or manifests on the outside. Everything you receive from God works that way. It starts on the inside and then moves to the outside. When people are born again, it’s their spirit that is reborn. You can’t tell they’re a new creature in Christ by looking at their body. You can’t even tell by looking at them right at the moment they appear to have an experience with God. Many times, I’ve seen people come to the altar and get emotionally stirred up—they jump up and down the aisles hugging everyone in sight. Then I never see them again. They didn’t get a thing in the world, but some kind of emotional high. I’ve had other people come to the altar and I’ve tho

A Global Best-Seller

A Global Best-Seller Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Jul 01, 2019 His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. –Proverbs 2:6 (TLB) It is small wonder . . . the Bible has always been the world's best-seller! No other book can touch its profound wisdom, its poetic beauty, or the accuracy of its history and prophecy. Its critics who claimed it to be filled with forgery, fiction, and unfulfilled promises are finding that the difficulties lie with themselves, and not the Bible. Greater and more careful scholarship has shown that apparent contradictions were caused by incorrect translations, rather than divine inconsistencies. It was man and not the Bible that needed correcting. And yet—in many homes and among so-called educated people—it has become fashionable to joke about the Bible and to regard it more as a dust-catcher than as the living Word of God. . . . Too many families have used the Bible as a safe storage place for old letters and pressed flow

BACKSLIDING: A NEGATIVE REBIRTH.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONDAY 1ST JULY 2019 THEME: BACKSLIDING: A NEGATIVE REBIRTH. MEMORISE: The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. Proverbs 14:14 READ: Daniel 4:28-33 28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? 31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever h

BUILDING A RIGHTEOUS NATION

DAILY MANNA MONDAY 1ST JULY, 2019 BUILDING A RIGHTEOUS NATION TEXT: GENESIS 39:7-23 KEY VERSE:“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (GENESIS 39:9). The argument that building a nation begins from the home front is provided by the inspiring story of Joseph, the despised dreamer. After surviving his stay in a dark pit into which he was thrown by his resentful brothers, the teenager was sold to itinerant merchants who finally took him to Egypt where he became a servant in the home of a top officer of the king. This was where he proved the point that your strength (or weakness) derives from what the home offers you or neglects to give you. When the wife of Potiphar sought to lure Joseph into immorality, the young Hebrew declined without hesitation. Although he had the opportunity to enjoy a moment of fleshly desire in the close

A stable wise Believer

Monday 1 st July, 2018 The word of Life Daily Devotional A stable wise Believer Memory verse: - James1:8     A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Bible Reading: - James 1:1 – 8 Message Wisdom which is the most principal thing to every man especially a soul winner is the right application of knowledge. The scripture says he that winneth soul is wise; not the wisdom of the world that is full of deception and how to cheat others, but of God in truth and pure conscience. To obtain this godly wisdom, we must ask God in faith without wavering; without any iota of doubt; with full assurance in God; with full confidence in our immutable God who gave Solomon, Joseph, Daniel and disciples to mention but a few. To doubt while asking makes you a double minded person and if you are like that you cannot be stable for the scripture that was written by God’s inspiration confirms that and that by so doing you cannot please God. Daniel, Joseph and even the disciples of

Integrity of Heart

Sunday 30 th June, 2019 The Word of Life Daily Devotional Integrity of Heart Memory verse: - Psalms 26: 1 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.  Bible Reading: - Psalm 26: 1 – 12 Message Integrity means the state of being wholesome, complete and pure or steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. Can unregenerated heart boast of any integrity before God? Can any man bring out clean thing out of an unclean thing? No! No man can saith the Lord. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. [ Job 14:4] David the writer of this book of Psalm was a man of God testified of God to be a man after his own heart . No longer I, he no longer does his own will but that of God; if not so he would have killed Saul when the opportunity to do so avails him rather he said I will not touch the anointed of God; even his awakened heart of righteousness smote him and condemn him for cutting

Made Manifest

Faith Food – June 29 By Rhema Team, Jun 29, 2019 Made Manifest Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life  [zoe]  also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life  [zoe]  also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.  — 2 CORINTHIANS 4:10,11 Paul is talking about zoe being manifested in our mortal bodies. But he’s not talking about the resurrection of the body, for “mortal” means  subject to death . When we’re raised up, we’ll have an immortal body. No, Paul is talking about having this  zoe  life of God which came into our spirits at the New Birth manifested during  this  life — in our deathdoomed mortal flesh! I am convinced that if we learn how to walk in the light of life, and let that life which came into us at our New Birth dominate us, there is no reason at all why we can’t live to a great age, if Jesus tarries His coming. I know the outward man i

Jesus’ Healings Were Spiritual

Health Food – June 29 By Rhema Team, Jun 29, 2019 Jesus’ Healings Were Spiritual And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.  — MATTHEW 8:13 It’s a remarkable fact that when Jesus came on the scene as Healer, He demanded faith again and again. To the woman with the issue of blood, He declared, “Thy faith has made thee whole” (Mark 5:34). To the man who came with his lunatic son, Jesus said,  “. . . If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”  (Mark 9:23). You see, the man came to Jesus and said, “If thou canst do anything, have mercy on us and help us” (Mark 9:22). Jesus said to him, in so many words, “It’s not so much a matter of what I can do as it is of what  you  can  believe . All things are possible to him that believeth.” To the nobleman who came on behalf of his son, Jesus said,  “. . . Go thy way; thy son liveth . . .”  (John 4:50). The man

The Hands of Jesus

The Hands of Jesus Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Jun 29, 2019 . . . I was hungry, [and] you gave me food . . .  –Matthew 25:35 (NEB) During the war a church in Strasburg, Germany, was totally destroyed; but a statue of Christ which stood by the altar was almost unharmed. Only the hands of the statue were missing. When the church was rebuilt, a famous sculptor offered to make new hands; but, after considering the matter, the members decided to let it stand as it was—without hands. "For," they said, "Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work on earth. If we don't feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, entertain the stranger, visit the imprisoned, and clothe the naked, who will?" Christ is depending on us to do the very things which He did while upon earth. My friend, if the gospel we preach does not have a social application, if it will not work effectively in the work-a-day world, then it is not the Gospel of Christ.  How do you kn

WHEN VISION IS NEEDFUL

DAILY   MANNA SATURDAY 29TH JUNE, 2019 WHEN VISION IS NEEDFUL TEXT: ISAIAH 22:1-14 KEY VERSE:“The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops" (ISAIAH 22:1).   A man whose research efforts successfully produced the first colour photograph in 1861, James Clerk Maxwell, believed that “God had endowed human beings with the power to investigate His handiworks and to harness the power of this created world”.   Prophet Isaiah was also given a vision concerning Jerusalem. He saw Jerusalem in anguish and pain. She was also a tumultuous city, in spite of being a joyous city. Its slain men were not killed with sword in battle but with famine. All the rulers who fled were overtaken and bound by archers. No one was spared the calamity. It was punishment for sins. The weakness of Judah was evident in its carnality. They forgot the Lord, the Marker, neither did they acknowledge Him. Judah was warned but would not repent.   Vision i

WHO IS YOUR ALLY?

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SATURDAY 29TH JUNE 2019 THEME: WHO IS YOUR ALLY? MEMORISE: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 READ: John 14:25-31 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pas

For You and Others

Saturday 29 th June, 2019 The word of Life Daily Devotional For You and Others Memory verse: - Psalms 25: 2 – 3 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Bible Reading: -         Psalms 25: 1 – 22 Message Believers’ greatest and indispensable weapon of war is prayer. It is both defensive and offensive spiritual weapon of war if coupled with watchfulness. A prayerful believer void of watchfulness can fall into satanic snare while a watchful believer without prayer will be weak and vulnerable to satanic attack; hence prayer and watchfulness over ones spiritual life are two inseparable means of being a strong believer. However, it will be a selfish attitude to pray for oneself without interceding or standing in the gap for others around us: our leaders, our pastors, coworkers in his vineyard, relatives, colleagues, our subordinate

Miracle Life

Faith Food – June 27 By Rhema Team, Jun 27, 2019 Miracle Life For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walkas children of light.  — EPHESIANS 5:8 The greatest miracle I’ve seen of eternal life affecting mentality was in a girl I’ll call Mary. Mary had spent seven years in the first grade without even learning to write her name. The authorities asked her parents to take her out of school when she was fourteen years old. As an eighteen-year-old, she behaved like a two-year-old. If she happened not to be sitting with her mother in the service, she would crawl or slide under the pews, or else she would lift up her skirt and step over them, to get where her mother was. Then one night, during an evangelistic revival meeting, Mary came to the altar. There she received eternal life — the nature of God. A drastic change occurred instantly. The very next night she sat in the service and behaved like any eighteen-year-old young lady. She had fixed her hair and dre

Health Food – June 27

Health Food – June 27 By Rhema Team, Jun 27, 2019 Divine Healing Is Spiritual God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  — JOHN 4:24 Divine healing, though it is manifested in the physical, is spiritual. It is not mental, as Christian Science and other metaphysical teachers claim. Now don’t misunderstand me. People get some results through mental science. The mind does, to a great extent, control the body, and a person could get some results that way. I know people who seemed to be miraculously healed through metaphysical cults. And I’ve heard people say, “If they’re healed, God must have done it.” But, no, not necessarily. If it’s mental healing, their minds produced it. I would rather stay sick and not be healed than to be healed through some unbelieving cult. Metaphysical religions such as Christian Science are not biblical. They believe that God is mind, and, in effect, that their mind is God. They believe that Jesus Christ is an i

Refining Fire

Refining Fire Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Jun 28, 2019 And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself . . .  –2 Chronicles 33:12 Why do Christians suffer? Rest assured that there is a reason for Christian people being afflicted. One reason why God's people suffer, according to the Bible, is that it is a disciplinary, chastening, and molding process. From the Scriptures we learn that the chastening of affliction is a step in the process of our full and complete development. Affliction can also be a means of refining and of purification. Many a life has come forth from the furnace of affliction more beautiful and more useful than before.  Read more about why people suffer.   Take a moment to meditate on these 15 comforting Bible verses for troubled times. PRAYER FOR THE DAY Lord, whatever I have to face, through it let me learn more of Your love and compassion.

HE GIVES PERPETUALLY

DAILY MANNA FRIDAY 28TH JUNE, 2019 HE GIVES PERPETUALLY TEXT: NEHEMIAH 2:1-8 KEY VERSE: “Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me" (NEHEMIAH 2:7,8). Everything we need for the abundant life and for eternity has been promised to us by God in His holy word. He leaves us no excuse for not having the fullness of blessing heaven can provide for us. In the text, Nehemiah, for the good of fatherland, asked king Artaxerxes for permission to go to Judah to build it. No sooner had this primary request been granted than he presented a number of others that

LET HOPE ARISE.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: FRIDAY 28TH JUNE 2019 THEME: LET HOPE ARISE. MEMORISE: When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. Job 22:29 READ: Acts 27:13-36 13 And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete. 14 But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon. 15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive. 16 And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat: 17 Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven. 18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship; 19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship. 20 And when neit

It is and shall be rectified

Friday 28 th June, 2019 The Word of Life Daily Devotional It is and shall be rectified Memory verse: - Psalms 24:1            The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Bible Reading: - Psalms 24; 1 – 10 Message The earth in which we are was created by God and placed under the dominion of man [Adam and Eve]. But Satan subtly took it away from man due to his ignorance by yielding to his suggestions to disobey the Lord in eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Be warned! Wake up from self delusion of indulging in secret sins for as long as you remain in sin you will not be in control of your God given authority and power. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? [Rom6:16] The domineering power of man over the earth and its fullness was restored to man by the second Adam in person of Chri

Who Am I?

Who Am I? Billy Graham's Daily Devotion Jun 27, 2019 What a glorious Lord! He who daily bears our burdens also gives us our salvation. –Psalm 68:19 (TLB) Edward Dahlberg, the writer, observed, "At 19, I was a stranger to myself. At 40, I asked, 'Who am I?' At 50, I concluded I would never know." This unexplored personal wilderness is the home of millions of people. Ninety-two percent of all Canadian university students, according to June Callwood, the Toronto sociologist, don't really know who they are. The Bible says that man is an immortal soul. When God made man in the first place, He created him and "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul" (Genesis 2:7). One's soul is the essence, the core, the eternal and real person. And he will be restless until he opens his life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  You are a masterpiece created by God Himself.  Do you have a relationship with your Creat

THE RIGHT FRUIT

DAILY MANNA THURSDAY 27TH JUNE, 2019 THE RIGHT FRUIT TEXT: JEREMIAH 24:1-10 KEY VERSE:"Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good” (JEREMIAH 24:5). Jean de la Bruyere, a French moralist who lived from 1645 -1696 said: “There exist some evils so terrible and some misfortunes so horrible that we dare not think of them... but if they happen to fall on us; we find ourselves stronger than we imagined we grapple with our ill luck, and behave better than we expected we should.” In life, there are two sides to everything. There are good and bad; day and night; white and black; obedience and disobedience, etc. In the passage today, the Bible talks about “good figs.” These were the exiles that were already in captivity. The “bad figs” were those who still remained in Jerusalem. There was a difference in the
