Message

There are lots of problems in this world of sin controlled by Satan – the god of this world and that is why the Bible says “a man that was born by a woman is of few days and full of trouble” [Job14:1]. The weight of problems in the church of God is carried by the Pastor; at home by the father or mother; and by the boss as the chief accounting officer of a place of work, and so on; in fact there are individual burdens that weighs down such an individual if he decides to carry it by himself or herself.
But Jesus said Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” [Matt 11:28]. Jesus is referring to the burden of sin here because condemnation is a heavy burden on its own and it is only Jesus that can take it away from a repentant sinner that call upon him; he will take the burden away and grant such humble person peace of mind that transcend the understanding of a man.
In our text today, millions of Israelites in the wilderness coupled with the mixed multitude that followed them out of Egypt went a lusting after fleshly things like cucumbers, fish, melons, leeks, onions, garlick and meat despising the heavenly manna given to them by God. And just because of these things they complain and even went ahead to be weeping every one of them in their household which displeased God and Moses greatly.
But the right thing to do is to tell God in prayers what they need aside the manna given to them by God, and that was exactly what Moses did. He went to God and poured his burden before the Lord telling him that the burden was too heavy for him to carry. In the next verse after his prayers [Num 14:15 – 16], the answer came and he has his peace and rest of mind.
Just like Moses did, so you must cast your burden upon the Lord for he cares for you.
God did not wants us to carry any unnecessary burden, depression or oppression; he wants us to poured them or cast them upon him and we will have our peace.
In Philippians 4:5 – 6 Paul by inspiration said “we must be careful for nothing, but in all things through prayers, supplication with thanksgiving, we should make our request made known to God; and the peace of God that passes human understanding shall keep our minds and hearts in Christ Jesus”
Jesus himself said we should not take thought of anything; because we cannot by it add a second to our life. The burden will be too heavy for you if you decide to carry it yourself; cast it upon the Lord and have your rest; if you trust and never doubt, he will surely bring you out; cast your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Confession of the Day: - I will cast my burden upon the Lord for I know he cares for me; he is mindful of me; he has blessed me and will bless me the more.
Prayer Points

Lord, I am sorry for trying to carry the burden by myself; have mercy on me and take the burden away from me; solve all my problems for me Oh Lord for I look upon thee alone.
