More Than I say
Memory verse: - Philemon 1:21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
Bible Reading: - Philemon 1: 1 – 25
Message
Those that are bought by the precious blood of Jesus are usually obedient and teachable children of God because they have the blood of their master flowing in their veins. As he [Jesus] was obedient to the father, so are his seeds are in continual obedience to his will and that of the father through the lading of the Holy Spirit.
In our text today, a run – away Onesimus come into contact with Paul the apostle [a good ambassador of our Lord Jesus Christ] and by reason of holding forth the word of life, he gave his life to Christ. Having narrated his life to Paul the aged in the faith, he wanted to help him make his restitution as quickly as possible; so he sent him back to Philemon [a brother in Christ] who he knew very well and trusted in his obedience that he will do more than he had written unto him.
How is it about you; are you an obedient child of God? Can your leaders entrust the work of God into your hand in that local assembly and sleep with their eyes closed; Can you be trusted that you will do the work more than it is expected of you?  Jesus wants us to do the father’s work he committed into our trust more than he did it for he told us in the Bible that:
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Consider this sayings of Jesus and look at what he did for three and half years on earth here to what you and I have been doing in the Kingdom for the past decades we claimed to have given our life to him. Can you boldly say that you have done more than he did when they are still visiting and begging you to come to church or workers meeting? Can you claim to have done more than he says when you are still been oppressed by powers of darkness? Paul who wrote to Philemon and said I believe in your obedience that you will do more than I say worked more than other Apostles to the extent that powers of darkness confessed that ‘Paul I know and Jesus I know, who art thou?’
Who trembles against each other between you and the devil? I believe it must be the devil and not you. With the spirit of Christ in you, you must be yearning to reach the depth, height, length and breadth of our Lord Jesus Christ; you must be grounded, rooted and well established in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. If he heals the sick, delivers the oppress and set free the captives of the devil as well as preached and teach the gospel to all and sundry, then you must be able to do likewise and even more than he did. Step up your faith, raise the goal higher, increase the tempo of your prayers and be determined to do more for the master than ever before. He is willing to aid you if you can key into his plan.
Confession of the Day
As the Lord gives me opportunity to serve, I will be diligent to make my calling an election sure.
Prayer Points: - Lord increase your anointing upon me and let your word be like a fire sealed up in my bone; let me find it difficult to keep quiet concerning holding forth the word of life for the saving of soul and for the expansion of thy kingdom.
