Under the Shadow of the Almighty
Memory verse: - Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Bible Reading: - John 15: 1 – 8
Message
Jesus is the true vine, believers are branches in the Lord and God – the Elshaddai is the husbandman. He is all in all; the owner of the universe and our souls; we are under his umbrella; he watches over the vine and the branches and he never slumber nor sleeps, his protection is sure because he mightier than any foe that might want to touch us.
Jesus said his father is the husbandman – the garden keeper; he is more than enough to keep the yielded and obedient followers of Christ that abide in the vine. His protection may not be ascertained if the acclaimed professor of faith in Christ is a wanderer from valley to mountain – the unstable believers serving God and mammon.
As farmers love fruit bearing plants and they remove weeds and things that can hinder them from bearing much fruits; so God loves fruit bearing believers. It is only the fruit bearing believers that can abide in Christ; a fruitless branch will wither away and cast off from the vine.
A true branch in Christ will receive spiritual nourishment from Christ and bear fruit of the spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. [Gal 5: 22 – 23].
Sincere branch in Christ is also expected to bear the fruit of evangelism – winning souls into the kingdom of God by holding forth the word of life which is the power of God to save them that believe from the bondage of sins and Satan.
God will love you, purge you, keep you and answer your prayers if you abide in Christ and bear fruits constantly, even much fruits that can make people to know and see you as a true follower of Christ.
Your fruit bearing nature shall appear to many if you let the word of Christ dwell in you richly and you are observing to do according to all that was written therein; you will as well make you way prosperous and you shall have a good success.
To be kept by the husbandman under whose protection and shadow we are, we must abide in Christ and his word must richly abide in us and we should love other brethren as ourselves fervently so that world can see that we are true disciples of Christ.
You will be nurtured, fed, kept and preserved by the Almighty God if you yield yourself completely to the Lord allowing him to dominate you and be Lord over your life; allow him to increase and you decrease every day.
Confession of the Day
I will dwell in the secret place of the most high and firmly abide under the shadow of the Almighty; I will not derail or wander away from the protective power of God.
Prayer Points
I surrender myself to you Oh Lord, keep me, feed me and preserve me by your power in Christ Jesus.
