Keep the Faith
Memory verse: - 2Ti 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Bible Reading: - 2 Tim 4: 1 – 22
Message
Paul was a courageous, consistent, diligent and abounding soldier of the cross who went through the difficulties of his warfare and was instrumental in carrying on the glorious victories of the exalted Redeemer over the power of darkness. He was a faithful soldier of the cross to the extent that demons recognized him and bowed out at his command. He was faithful in silencing the false teachers and prophets; he seized not to preach the whole counsel and doctrine of Christ day and night, publicly and from house to house.
Powers of darkness was unable to silence him despite all he went through; he remained unmovable in his commitment to the end.
We are saved by faith and can only be kept by faith for it is written that the just shall live by faith. In plenty and in want our focus must be on the master who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross. Keep the faith, keep the doctrines of the gospel and never betray any of them; live by them and let others see Christ in you.
This can only be done if you take hold of the master’s hand and you never let go consistently everyday like Paul said “I die daily”. Dead to worldliness and pleasures of this world, but alive unto God and his business day by day; let Christ increases and you decrease; more of Christ and less of self and if the call comes to yield all to the master, you willingly surrender all.
Let the mind of Christ to be passionate about things of God be in you for he had redeemed you to be zealous of good work.
To keep the faith we must be prayerful and watchful over all we do within the fold and outside the sanctuary for we are epistle being read by all around us. God will give us more grace to carry through to the end and we can look back and say like Paul the apostle that we have kept the faith and we have fought a good fight and crown of righteousness awaits us in heaven.
Confession of the Day
I will endure hardness as a good soldier of the cross to the end; I will lawfully and faithfully fight the good fight of faith to the end.
Prayer Points
Christian journey heavenward is like a race; heavenly father give me grace to be focus on you as the author and finisher of my faith to the end.
Use me for the expansion of thy kingdom and frustrate every agenda of the powers of darkness concerning me in Jesus name.
