Memory
Verse: - 1Th 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus concerning you.
Bible
Reading: - Psalm 103: 1 – 22
Message
The memory verse says in all things, give thanks –
in season (when it is suitable or convenient) and out of season (when it is not
convenient when it is not suitable) give thanks; in plenty and in want, give
thanks; in joy or in sorrow, give thanks; in fact in any situation you find
yourself, so far you are still alive give thanks to God.
Sons, daughters and all possessions of Job were
taken away; were destroyed by the devil and Job in all these, blessed the
name of the Lord.
Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked
shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be
the name of the Lord.
Today is the last day of this year, you need to look
back, count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what
the Lord has done. And if peradventure you cannot see anything God has done for
you, the fact remains that he spared you life until now and it is the duty of
the livings in Christ Jesus to appreciate God.
He saved you from sin and satanic strong holds; he delivered
you from the clutches of the devil; he also preserved you in the kingdom from spiritual
lions, wolves and serpents; he provided for you and your family and gave you power
to work and earn your livings; he is worthy to be praised.
Do you know that some are in the hospital right now groaning
under the pain of one ailment or the other, we are not better than them; we are
only enjoying the mercies of God upon us and our loved ones.
So I urge you to begin to thank God for:
v Sending
Jesus to die for you and me
v Salvation
of your soul
v Your
preservation in His kingdom
v His
provision
v Your
sustenance
v The
blood of Jesus, name of Jesus and for his unfailing promises
v Peace
all around you despite thousands of lives that were wasted. God has been nice to
us, he is worthy to be praised.
Confession of the Day
I will praise God for all he has done already for me;
for what he is doing now and for that which he will still do.
Prayer Points
Lord, in all things help
me to be grateful unto you; praising you, thanking you rather than complaining.
And let all my adoration, praises and thanksgiving together with pure meditation
of my heart be acceptable unto you in Jesus name [Amen]
