Message
In Exodus 40, the last chapter of the book, the Lord
approved the tabernacle built by Bezaleel, Aholiab and Israelites in general
through his divine instructions passed to them through Moses – his faithful
servant.
In today’s text, God called unto Moses out of the
tabernacle and give him instructions on how offering should be brought unto
him. As the custom of the time the inferior does not go to a superior being
empty handed; hence God commanded that none should appear before him empty.
Ex 34:20 “……..And none shall appear before me empty.”
The word ‘bring’ in Greek means to approach or draw
near while offering means korban or gift of access unto God.
As a sinner or backslider, before you can approach
or have access to God, you need to jettison your sins and offer your heart –
the engine house and the processing unit of your being to God through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
Pr 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my
ways.
You need to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and
saviour because you cannot have access to God without him. Your gift of access
therefore is your heart offered to God as dwelling place cleansed and washed by
the blood of the lamb that was shed for you on the cross. His blood only atones
for the sin of mankind and not that of the animal some people are offering
today; not through ablution, or any other form of sacrifice, not by birth and
not by church confirmation, neither it is by water baptism. It is only by the blood
of Jesus.
Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed
for many for the remission of sins.
For believers who want to have access to God in prayers
or in worship; you need to offer sacrifice of praise which is the fruit of your
lips.
Jer 33:11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of
the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say,
Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for
ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of
the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first,
saith the Lord. Henceforth, offer the sacrifice of praise
when you come before the Lord so as to have access to him in holiness through Christ
Jesus.
Confession of the Day
I will come to God always with praise worship and thanksgiving
unto him for his goodness upon my life and that of my family
Prayer Points: - help to offer physical
and spiritual korban unto you all the time I come to your presence.
