Corrupt not thyself
Memory Verse: - Ex 32:7 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
Bible Reading: - Ex 32: 1 – 35
Message
How one can corrupt himself or herself was hereby revealed in today word of God and one of it is making and worshipping the work of our hands; it is idolatry which our forefather did and reaped the displeasure of God. Its consequence is grievous and devastating for twenty three thousand men died as a result of this rebellion in the wilderness.
When you value the work of your hand and business above the precepts and commandments of God it is idolatry and it is a dangerous way to tread, be warned. When you are suppose to be in the church at your duty post of serving people of God, but you prefer selling and buying at that particular time, it is self indulgence and self corruption which God is not happy with. In the New Testament, Bible says covetousness is idolatry:
Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
When you are alone watching blue films, pornographic pictures, nude pictures or nursing thoughts of inordinate affection and surfing the net on dirty videos that corrupts the mind; you corrupt and defile yourself
The word of God says you should mortify, crush, rout, or overthrow them; do not allow them to survive within you, cast them away, take them far away from you.
Anything that defiles will in no wise enter into heaven and according to Christ in Mark 7 verses 21 – 23 he says:
Mk 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,  22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:  23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Idolatry and all other vices mentioned in the verses above lead to self corruption and defilement and can be crushed by the grace of God and faith in the atoning work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Flee idolatry and things that defile so that Angel of the God [Jesus Christ] can lead you safely to the promised paradise – the home of the saints above, we shall all be there in Jesus name.
Confession of the Day
 I will not corrupt myself to avoid reaping the displeasure of the Lord like that of Israelites in the wilderness.
Prayer Points
Heaven father, deliver me from defiling thoughts, presumptuous sin, premeditated sin and predetermined sins; let them not have dominion over me in Jesus name.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians.
