wise Soul winner
Memory
Verse: - Pr 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that
winneth souls is wise.
Bible
Reading: - Luke 20: 1 – 47
Message
A person is wise if he applies the acquired
knowledge rightly; hence wisdom is the right application of knowledge and the
scripture says he that winneth soul over to the Lord is wise. Jesus has the
gift of words of knowledge and wisdom operating in his life because he was
anointed without measure.
In our text today the chief priests, scribes and
elders came upon Jesus while the was somewhere teaching and preaching the
gospel to the people demanding to know the authority he has to do all the good
things he was doing. They voiced out and show their true figure of jealousy and
envy when they could no longer contain it.
By coming together and asking him the same question
shows their oneness in evil and we must be wiser than them by being of the mind
as believers minding and speaking the same thing, which is possible if we all
seek Christ in a right way for he is one and the only mediator between man and
God; he is not divided and holy spirit our guide and teacher is the same. If
you are speaking and teaching things contrary to that of Christ, then you are
against him like the scribes, chief priests and elders.
Christ’s reasoning and the way he responded to their
question silenced these wicked set of people and we must tarry and get the same
gifts as he had promised us without which we cannot convince the sinners out
there who has been indoctrinated somehow.
Gift of words of knowledge enables our Lord to know the
right answer to their question and the gift of words of wisdom guides him in applying
his knowledge rightly.
A soul winner must be vast in the knowledge of the scripture
and be baptized in the Holy Spirit for these gift to be in manifestation in his
life.
He that winneth soul is wise, and if you lack this you
seek the face of God for it and you will surely be given for it is written that:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of
God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be
given him [Jas 1:5]
Pr 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing;
therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Read the scriptures patiently, meditatively and prayerfully
for better comprehension and ask for wisdom of God to apply it rightly to your life
and to those around you; so as to draw them to Christ.
Confession of the Day
I will prayerfully read the word, apply it to my life
and convincingly preach it to the sinners out there with the aim of winning them
over to the Lord.
Prayer Points
Help me Lord to follow
in your steps and preach you everywhere I go and grant me wisdom to do it right.
