BE FOCUSED
MEMORY VERSE:- Psalms  112:7  He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

MESSAGE

We are to learn from great men of God that had gone before us on how they obtained the promises. This is why the scriptures is given unto us, for our learning that through the patient of the scriptures we might have hope.
Elijah was about to finish his ministry and God had decided to put Elisha in his stead. He was diligent enough to make his calling an election sure, he was determined, focussed and had a fixed mindset to receive a double portion of Elijah's anointing. He wouldn't have obtained the power if he had agreed to remain  at Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho or at the brink of Jordan. He refused to be distracted,  because Elijah said he had asked for a hard thing nevertheless if he sees him taken away it shall be done.
He looked diligently to Elijah and received a double portion of his power. Also, disciples of Christ tarried at Jerusalem away from all forms of distractions until they received the promised power,  they endued, filled with Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. You must be as diligent as Elisha, you must be at your divine duty post at all times, study hard to make your calling approved by God, rightly dividing the word of truth,  and prayerfully looking unto the master for the promised power and you will surely be endued.
God cannot lie,  He is Jehovah Elishaddai who is more than enough to make all his promises good.
In 1 Kings  8:56 David looked back at God's doings and concluded  that "blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant"
If you determine to be what God had planned for you to be then you need to single out yourself and fix your eyes on him more than others that are like sons of prophets that wanted to distract Elisha from receiving a double portion of Elias anointing. You must focus on God to be what he wants you to be.
Confession of Day
My heart is fixed trusting the Lord.
Prayer Points
Deliver me from all that devil had sent to distract me in Jesus name
Help me to make my calling an election sure
Toughen my spiritual muscles to be strong in faith at all times
Make me a blessing for my generation
Let a double portion of your spirit fall on me. Baptize me as you have promised.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters.
