MESSAGE
Genuine salvation takes away every bit of condemnation from the heart of the saved one and replaces it with the joy of the Lord. From our text today, the eunuch went home rejoicing when he was touched by the Lord. It an experience full of assurance, without any shadow of turning you will know it yourself, you will be sure of it, it will embolden you come to God in prayer with a full assurance.
Apart from this, the spirit of God will also bear you witness that you are now a child of God [Rom 8:16]. What a blessed assurance! Have you experience this? If you have not, then I admonish thee to come to the Lord in genuine repentance from all your iniquities, confessing and forsaking them and the mercy of God will descend upon you and full assurance of salvation shall be your portion.
I know a man who was always moody as a messenger in his place of work. He was never cheerful; he keeps to himself most of the time. In fact this man knows no joy. Then a Christian brother invited him to one of their monthly programme in his church. With a lot of persuasion he followed him to the programme and fortunately for him he met Christ at the programme and went home rejoicing.
The following day in the office, he suddenly become cheerful greeting and interacting with others. Ladies in the same office with him could not hide it; they approached him and asked what had happened to him? He cheerfully told them that he had met Christ and that he was now born again.
Can you see that it was not difficult for people to know that he was born again.  If the son therefore set you free, you shall be free indeed.
 1.Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a fore-taste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, wash’d in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.

2.Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight,
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

 3.Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Fill’d with His goodness, lost in His love.
Confession of the Day
I have full assurance that I am saved.
