TRADITION Vs GOD’S COMMANDMENT
MEMORY VERSE: - Mt 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
BIBLE READING: - Mt 15: 1 – 9
MESSAGE
Tradition is part of culture that is passed from person to person or generation to generation differing in detail from family to family. Any cultural heritage that violates the commandment of God must be discarded for God and his word had been before any culture and man that creates such culture.
If it is your family way of life to dress like man when you are woman or the other way round known as effeminacy; then you need to have the spirit of God of God that bears witness with sincere believers that they are children of God.
I once counsel a sister to stop the attachment and jerry coils, but she was not convinced on the spot; but continues with her worldly way of dressing until one day she condemned by the spirit of God and she made right her way of dressing . Up till now those worldly things no longer have any influence on her.
The pattern of our dress was first designed by God himself in Gen 3:21. Women of this generation must beware of strange apparel such as tight fitted clothes showing the shape of the body, armless, miniskirts, etc. for they are in no way different from Adamic aprons condemned by God.
Traditional worship of idols is not godly and must be avoided by everyone who has the hope of seeing God on the last day. Our forefathers worship idols in their ignorance and God said in Ac 17:30 that “…..the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.” Flee idolatry; it is against the will of God.
Do not eat things offered or sacrificed unto idols and avoid all idolatrous entertainments
Confession of the Day

I will jettison tradition of men and uphold the word of God.
