WORK AND PRAY
MEMORY VERSE: - Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
BIBLE READING: - Matt 26: 36 - 41
MESSAGE
Prayer is expedient and indispensable to a true child of God, he cannot do without it. No christian experience can be obtained here on earth without prayers; likewise, no good gift can be obtained from the Lord without prayers. It is the sure way by which we communicate to GOD. Our Lord Jesus Christ when he was here on earth showed us the importance of prayer and watchfulness by doing it diligently himself (John 8:1; Lk 21:37); and he taught his disciples to do likewise and by extension to every believer. He maintain constant fellowship with the God our heavenly father; he did not give room for the devil at all. But we are admonished not to only pray, we must as well be watchful over our spiritual lives and the the company we keep. To overcome temptation and not to fall into the trap of the devil, we must watch and pray. This is what Judas Iscariot failed to do and he missed the mark. Watch and pray so that you do not fall into temptation.
Confession of the Day
I will not only pray,I will watch diligently as a good soldier of Christ.

May 3 SUPPLYING OUR NEEDS But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes all of your needs (all means all!), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters.
