Solving Mathematical Problems
Whosoever you are, whatever your level of educational attainments, you need to know that any mathematical problems you want to tackle must be understood by you. I mean the conceptual meaning of the question. Then, you outline all the parameters given in the question, from which you know the method or formula to be applied before solving the problem. Some questions are so twisted to the extend that critical thinking is required on the part of the students before they can solve such problems.
It is also very important for students to know that they need to solve virtually all the questions or exercises in their textbooks at the end of every topic. This will enable them master all the cunning ways questions under such topics can be set.
During the process of solving such problems, they come across questions that will take them more time before they get solutions to them. Such questions tend to push them away, they can be discouraging. Don't quit, don't let go, think, and try them again and again, by so doing you are developing your thinking ability. Once you master how to solve such questions, you have indirectly equipped yourself with mastery ability to tackle such problems.
If peradventure, you are unable to solve such problems, don't just abandon them, share them with your co-students and together you find solutions to them. As a result, you learn one or more things from your friends. Furthermore, in a situation where you are all unable to solve them, you need to collaborate with your mathematics teacher. Remember mathematics needs special attention which must be given to it for better understanding.
Another vital approach is to personally go through the examples solved by your teacher, understand them, copy the questions used for the examples and try to solve them without referring to your teacher's solution. While doing that you discover some areas to be mastered, go back and master them and try the problem again.
