March 1 . . . they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.—MARK 16:18 God Expects Something of You As I was preaching one time in Pasadena, Texas, a man and his wife brought to the meeting their little girl who was afflicted. This eight-year-old girl didn’t have much use of her body, and was even unable to feed herself. As I laid hands on her and prayed, I knew the power of God went into her, but she didn’t seem to be any better. She was still helpless. After the service, the family stopped to get some hamburgers before driving back to their home in Beaumont, Texas. When they ordered their food, they got a hamburger for the little girl. Ordinarily, the mother would feed her because the girl couldn’t even handle a fork and had great difficulty swallowing. The mother would pinch off small bites of whatever she was eating, put it into her daughter’s mouth, and coax her to swallow.
