"Is life worth living?" To scores of people life has ceased to be worth living. To all of you I have good news. God did not create you to be a defeated, discouraged, frustrated, wandering soul, seeking in vain for peace of heart and peace of mind. He has bigger plans for you. He has a larger orb and a greater life for you. The answer to your problem, however great, is as near as your Bible, as simple as first-grade arithmetic, and as real as your heartbeat. Upon the authority of God's Word, I tell you that Christ is the answer to every baffling perplexity which plagues mankind. In Him is found the cure for care, a balm for bereavement, a healing for our hurts, and a sufficiency for our insufficiency. Here are 15 comforting Bible verses for troubled times.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Teach me, Lord, as today I read Your Word, that the life You would have me live is one of joy and fulfillment.

The grape vine is endowed with innate ability for profuse reproduction. A single vine bears many bunches of grapes. In the Old Testament, these high-yielding grapes were presented as the imagery of Israel’s fruitfulness in doing God’s work. DAILY MANNA  SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018 OUR DEPENDABLE GOD TEXT: JOSHUA 10:12-27 KEY VERSE: “And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel” (Joshua 10:14) MESSAGE Five kings entered into a league to destroy Gibeon. Adonizedek, king of Jerusalem, cried unto the kings of Amorites, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon for help. The people of Gibeon got wind of the plot against the city and sent words to Joshua to come to their rescue. Gibeon was able to secure the assistance of Israel because it had earlier made peace with it. Joshua dispatched men of war to prevent Gibeon from being overrun by the five kings led by Adonizedek.
