                           Avoid Self Delusion
Memory Verse: - Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Bible Reading: - Luke 12: 1 – 52
                             Message
It is nothing but self delusion to indulge in secret sins and think all is right with you. The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked and can only be known by God. Your secrets can be hidden from all men, but can never be hidden from God of whom we have to deal; he knows you in and out; he knows the intent of your heart; he knows why you do that which you do and by him actions are weighed.
Let’s call to mind the discussion that came up between Jesus and Nathanael:
Jn 1:47 – 51 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.  Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
Jesus seeing Nathanael for the first time knows who he was in and out; he knew he was a plain, honest and truthful Israelite in whom there is no deception. God wants this type of people to serve him “ and they that must worship God must do it in truth and in spirit” [John 4: 23 – 24]
He also said through King David in Psalm 51 verse 6 that:
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
If you will have a good and pure relationship with God, then avoid self delusion of secret sins for they are not hidden from God upon whom all flesh ought to rely. He is God that answers prayers and to him shall all flesh come. He said in Numbers 32:23 that: “……..be sure your sin will find you out”
Remember Achan in the Bible who stole a Babylonish garment and his it under the ground in his house; and just because of that Israel could not stand before even a small enemy of Ai. A sinner cannot stand before his enemies and cannot overcome them as long as he indulges in secret sins, but if your way is pleasing unto the Lord, he will make even your enemies to be at peace with you.
Don’t try to please anybody by continual service in the household and vineyard of God if you know you have a secret sin to settle with God for such services are a mere waste of time and abomination unto God. All hidden and secrets of men shall be judged by God.
Confession of the Day
I will serve God in truth and in spirit from my inward part for that is the whole duty of man

Prayer Point: 
Father, help me to serve you faithfully and truthfully from my inward part all the time.
