of God?
Bible Reading: - John 9: 20 – 41
Message
In our
text today, we have four different characters: the jealous and wicked Pharisees
and Sadducees; fearful parents of the blind man; the convinced, converted and
bold blind man that was healed and the righteous Jesus our Lord – the giver of
life, joy and peace. He gave the blind man hope by opening his eyes; he gave
him a new life and new beginning; he took him from total darkness into
marvelous light of God; he gave him joy and happiness.
But the
Pharisees and Sadducees refused to rejoice with the man delivered because of
jealousy and hatred they have developed for Jesus, hence they cast man out from
the synagogue hiding under the pretence that Christ did it on the Sabbath day.
You need
to pray and resist sin of hatred and jealousy to the blood, it should not be
found in the life of heaven bound believers for he that hates his brother
without a cause is a murderer; and no murderer can enter into heaven the
resting place of the righteous and the place of abode of our holy God.
Also,
you must realise you need to re examine your salvation experience if you still
fear men; for the fear of men bringeth a snare; and he that is fearful is not
perfect in love towards God and his fellow men. This is why the scriptures says
we have not received the spirit of fear to again begin to fear, but we have
been given the spirit of power, of love and of sound mind.
2Ti 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of
a sound mind.
If yield
to the Lord Jesus like the blind man surrendered and yielded to him calling him
Lord, you will receive the spirit of sound mind and of boldness; you will not
be afraid of what you will lose if men of the world decide to separate you from
their company of worldly assembly; you will boldly declare Christ and stand for
him in the open and in secret.
If men
cast you out, God will receive you into his kingdom as he practically showed us
today in our text. Ps 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the
Lord will take me up.
He heard
that the man was cast out; he sought for him, found him and accepted him into
his marvelous kingdom. Christ is alive and still receives penitent and
converted sinners into his kingdom today. Make haste, run fast unto the Lord
now for cleansing, purging and renewal, tomorrow may be too late.
Confession
of the Day
When my father and mother forsake me, I will
run to my saviour who is more than enough to cater for me.
Prayer
Points
Lord, help me to
stand for you in season and out of season in love, with power and in sound mind
without fear all the days of my life.
