Message
God that
answers prayers and to whom all flesh must come in a bid to finding solutions to
their problems and destructions revealed himself to Moses in a flame of fire in
our text this morning as I AM THAT I AM. God is whom he is yesterday, today and
forever. He heard the cries of Israelites from holy heaven and come down to
deliver them from their afflictions and servitude.
I am
that I am is still whom He is today – he hears and answers prayers; he saves
and delivers from afflictions; he is alive yesterday and today; he is as
powerful today as he was yesterday; he was mighty yesterday in the days of old
and is more powerful today than yesterday. His power was only given to prophets
in the Old Testament, but the believers today under the New Testament are more
powerful and greater than prophets of old according to the sayings of Jesus in Mt 11:11 that
“verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen
a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the
kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”
Greater
is he that is in today’s believers than he that is in the world. You have ample
opportunity to call upon God today and he will hear thee for He is God of today
as well as of yesterday, but is closer to us than that of yesterday through
Jesus our Lord.
Whatever
happens, He is God – I am that I am, He changes not. He heard and mightily
delivered the Israelites in those days, he is still the same today and that is
why He is I AM THAT I AM – meaning I remain my mighty self I have not change.
In the
past, he had broken the yoke of barrenness, oppression, poverty, infirmities,
sicknesses, diseases and sorrow. He can do more than these for you today
because his power remains as mighty as ever. All you need to do is to enter
into covenant relationship with Him. He had covenant with Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob (the Israel) according to our text this morning in: Ex 3:7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen
the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by
reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
He
called them my people because they
were in covenant relationship with him and this you cannot claim today without
Christ. A mere religion predicated on church confirmation, infant baptism,
ablutions, penance, fasting and other religious activities cannot make you to
be a joint heir with Christ. But completely yielding to the Lordship of Christ
after confession of sins to God [not to any man], forsaking those sins and
accepting Christ as personal Lord and saviour without any intermediary will
make you a joint heir with Christ and qualify you to be a partaker of saints’
inheritance.
The ball
is now in your court and it depends on whom you want to follow – God or Satan.
But you indirectly choose Satan by rejecting our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I counsel you to choose Jesus and see how mighty God [the father of our Lord]
is, He is I AM THAT I AM; the mighty one that all satanic hosts cannot
confront. Cast your burdens to him and leave them there, if you trust and never
doubt, he will surely bring you out.
Confession of the Day
