Through Faith In His Name’

Health Food – May 5 By Rhema Team, May 5, 2020 ‘Through Faith In His Name’ And his  [Jesus’]  name, through faith in his name, hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all . — ACTS 3:16 Smith Wigglesworth learned of a man in Wales known as Lazarus. He had worked by day in the tin mines and preached at night until he wore himself out physically. He contracted TB, and became bedfast for seven years. Once as Wigglesworth was in Wales preaching, the Lord said to him, “I want you to go raise up Lazarus.” Wigglesworth found other believers and went to Lazarus’ house. They surrounded his bed and repeated the Name of Jesus until the power of God fell. Wigglesworth then said to the man, “There’s your healing.” Lazarus began to speak faintly, so Wigglesworth drew closer to hear his words. The man said, “I’ve been bitter.” You see, he once had believed in divine healing. Someone had anoint...

Supplying Our Needs

Faith Food – May 3 By Rhema Team, May 3, 2020 Supplying Our Needs But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  — PHILIPPIANS 4:19 It is God’s will that our needs be met. All of them! Philippians 4:19 includes  all  of your needs ( all means  all !), whether spiritual, physical, material, or financial. Believe that! Lest someone think that God is not concerned about our financial needs, this verse is set in a context which discusses material and financial affairs. Read it and you will see that the Philippians had taken up an offering of money and goods to send to other Christians. Paul was telling them, “Because you have given to others and have helped them, my God shall supply all your need.” So Paul was talking about material and financial matters. With what boldness, then, we can pray for finances to meet our obligations! Having all of our needs met is according to God’s will! Confession:  When I pray concerning fina...

A Double-Minded Man

Health Food – May 3 By Rhema Team, May 3, 2020 A Double-Minded Man A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.  — JAMES 1:8 As soon as the pastor began praying, I heard the following in my spirit: “Now they’ve taken her out of My hands and she’ll die. Within three days, she’ll be dead.” I knew it was the voice of the Lord speaking to me. On the third day, the woman died, just as the Lord said. You see, we had placed her in God’s hands and then we took her out of God’s hands. What should we have done? Instead of praying for her complete healing again, we should have stood in agreement and said, “We are going to stand up and agree that she is well. We are going to thank God for it.” That way, we would have stayed in faith. Many times, a whole church places a person in God’s hands and then turns right around and takes him out of God’s hands. God wants to heal the person, but He can’t. Why? God operates on certain laws and principles. Confession:  I cooperate with God and sta...

Don’t Waver In Your Believing

Health Food – May 2 By Rhema Team, May 2, 2020 Don’t Waver In Your Believing For let not that man  [the man who wavers]  think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.  — JAMES 1:7 The next night, the same thing happened again. This particular woman stood up before the offering was taken and said, “Pastor, I feel that we should continue to pray for Sister ______. The doctor thought that she would die last night. You know, I live next door to her, and I was there at eight o’clock this morning when the doctor checked on her. He said, ‘She’s past the crisis. She has come out of it. Get her out of bed and let her sit in a chair two or three times a day. She’s going to make it.’” Because of our praying, God touched this woman who was given up to die. Now notice what the woman in the congregation said. She continued, “But she’s still terribly weak. [Naturally, she would be. She’s been bedfast and has just come through a crisis.] We know God touched her, all right. Let’s pra...

Saving The Lost

Faith Food – May 2 By Rhema Team, May 2, 2020 Saving The Lost The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  — 2 PETER 3:9 We know that saving the lost is God’s will — because it was to save the lost that Jesus laid down His life. Therefore, knowing this, we would not pray, “God, save my mother,  if it is Your will.  Don’t let her go to hell,  if it is Your will . If it’s not Your will, let her go to hell.” No! Why?  Because we know God’s will in the matter. God’s will — His Word — makes it clear in such scriptures as John 3:16 and Second Peter 3:9. It is God’s will for men and women to be saved. Therefore, we can pray for the lost with great boldness. Believers especially can exercise great authority in praying for the salvation of their families. I used some of the scriptures we have been studying as I prayed for my relative...

God Is in Nature

God Is in Nature Billy Graham's Daily Devotion May 02, 2020 When I consider thy heavens . . .  –Psalm 8:3 To look into a microscope is to see another universe so small that only the electronic microscope can even find it. For instance, it is revealed that one single snowflake in a snowstorm with millions of other snowflakes is the equivalent of twenty billion electrons. Scientists are learning that the miniature world of a single living cell is as astonishing as man himself. God says that we can learn a great deal about Him just by observing nature. Because He has spoken through His universe, all men are without excuse for not believing in Him. This is why the Psalmist said, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" (Psalm 14:1).  Read more about how nature points to God .   PRAYER FOR THE DAY The infinitesimal beauty of Your creation speaks to my heart of the certainty of Your presence, almighty and everlasting God.
