You see, you can’t separate God from His Word. The Bible is the Word of God. You can’t separate someone from his or her word. In other words, a person is known by his or her word. God is known by His Word. He is everything the Word says He is, and He will do everything His Word says He will do. If you want to find out who God is, go to the Word and find out. Sometimes people say, “Well, I don’t know whether God will do that or not. I hope He will.” If you want to find out what God will do, go to the Word. Now I didn’t talk to him personally. I think that sometimes people are sitting around waiting for God to initiate something. And sometimes God does initiate something on His own. Message: I remember an Assembly of God woman down in east Texas who had double pneumonia. This was back in the late 1930s before miracle drugs. She just grew steadily worse. The doctor told the husband that unless there was a change, she would not live past midnight that night. May 19 HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONS BY K HAGIN TOPIC: WHO IS QUALIFIED TO LAY HANDS ON THE SICK? TEXT: Mark 16:18 . . . they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.—MARK 16:18 Who Is Qualified to Lay Hands on the Sick? We’ve looked at this scripture before in explaining that not all healings are instantaneous. Now let’s look at the previous verse, Mark 16:17. “And these signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE. . . .” These signs, such as laying hands on the sick, shall follow believers. Who shall lay hands on the sick? Believers shall lay hands on the sick. You see, laying on of hands is more than a sign. It is also a New Testament doctrine. It’s one of the fundamental principles of the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ. MESSAGE: There are a number of different methods whereby healing can be obtained through the Word of God. One way is to simply know what the Word of God says for yourself and then act on it. MESSAGE: In 1949 I was holding a meeting in Plainview, Texas, at the First Assembly of God Church. Christmas was coming up, and I needed some extra money for Christmas presents. I wrote to my wife, “At three o’clock on Sunday afternoon, you open your Bible there in Garland, Texas, to Matthew 18:19, and I’ll open my Bible here in Plainview. We’ll agree that the offering will be a particular amount on Sunday night.” You see, you can be in agreement in spirit and not be with the other person physically. I preached on the last Sunday night before Christmas. And in all the hustle and bustle of special Christmas programs, the ushers forgot to count the offering. The pastor found the offering plates and brought them back to the parsonage. He dumped all the money out on the dining room table and said, “Let’s count it.” He counted half and I counted the other

May 8 HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONS BY K HAGIN TOPIC: The Importance of Agreement Text: Matthew 18:19 - 20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree onearth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Message: Jesus said that wherever two or three people are gathered together in His Name, He is there in the midst of them. What is Jesus doing there in the midst of them? He’s there to make good on what they ask and agree upon, because He said in John 14:14, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Many times, though, people lack agreement. For example, if something you’re agreeing on concerns another person, that other person will have to agree with you too. It won’t work in disagreement. Get him or her to agree with you. Notice that Matthew 18:19 says that it shall be done—not that it might be done or that there is a possibil

Message: As a believer, you have the right to ask God the Father for healing or any other blessing. And if you ask in the Name of Jesus, you have the absolute guarantee that God the Father will hear and answer your petition. Many people add to the Scriptures or take away from them, because they have been religiously brainwashed instaead of New Testament taught. MESSAGE: Smith Wigglesworth learned of a man in Wales known as Lazarus. He had worked by day in the tin mines and preached at night until he wore himself out physically. He contracted TB, and became bedfast for seven years. Once as Wigglesworth was in Wales preaching, the Lord said to him, “I want you to go raise up Lazarus.” Wigglesworth found other believers and went to Lazarus’ house. They surrounded his bed and repeated the Name of Jesus until the power of God fell. Wigglesworth then said to the man, “There’s your healing.” Lazarus began to speak faintly, so Wigglesworth drew closer to hear his words. May 3 HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: A DOUBLE MINDED MAN TEXT: James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. MESSAGE: As soon as the pastor began praying, I heard the following in my spirit: “Now they’ve taken her out of My hands and she’ll die. Within three days, she’ll be dead.” I knew it was the voice of the Lord speaking to me. On the third day, the woman died, just as the Lord said. You see, we had placed her in God’s hands and then we took her out of God’s hands. What should we have done? Instead of praying for her complete healing again, we should have stood in agreement and said, “We are going to stand up and agree that she is well. We are going to thank God for it.” That way, we would have stayed in faith. Many times, a whole church places a person in God’s hands and then turns right around and takes him out of God’s hands.
