BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS

When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.                  Matthew 8: 1 - 3 When the Lord blesses you, He blesses you beyond what you expect. In the healing of the man with leprosy, Jesus reached out and touched the man, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately, the man was healed. My friend, did you notice that Jesus touched the man first before He healed him? I love these little gestures of Jesus! That simple touch restored a sense of humanity and dignity to the man who had not been touched for a long time. Because of his unclean and physically repulsive condition, no one wanted to be close to him, much less touch him. Jesus knew that the man needed more than just physical healing, so He gave above and beyon

BRING IN THE CROSS

And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?  And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,                    Exsodus 15:33-25 I love the story of how God turned bitter, poisonous waters into sweet, refreshing waters for His people when they came to a place called Marah (meaning "bitterness" in Hebrew). When the Israelites could not drink the water, Moses cried out to the Lord. The Lord showed him a tree, which Moses cast into the waters. When he did that, the Bible says that "the waters were made sweet". I love how God's solution then is still God's solution now: Throw in the tree—a picture of Jesus at the cross—to turn the bitter waters s

PRISON BREAK

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder           Psalm 107:13-14 Who do you think you are? Have you forgotten all the mistakes you've made? Things will never get better. You should just accept your lot. It's not going to work—you are just going to fail again! Nobody loves you. You are all alone. Have you been at the receiving end of these words of discouragement, accusation, and dismissal? I've seen these tactics of deception, loaded with condemning judgment, used too many times by the adversary. I've seen too many people, who have tried to move out from under the shadow of their past or break free from their addictions, end up succumbing to these lies about themselves, their identity, and their future and their destiny. As a result, they are unable to break free, and day after day, they simply live to perpetuate the pain, fea

PRESENTING THE REAL GOD

27 November 2020 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.               Matthew 8:1 - 3 There is so much wrong believing today about who Jesus is. I am asking you to throw out every idea, concept, and picture that you may have of a "religious" Jesus. Allow me to introduce the real Jesus to you, for this is where it all begins. I'm not talking about the religious Jesus you may have heard about growing up, but the real Jesus who walked along the dusty streets of Jerusalem and upon the raging waters of the Galilee. He was the one whom the sick, the poor, the sinful, the down and out, and the outcast instinctively gravitated to and felt at ease with. He was God in the flesh and He manifested God's tangible love. In Hi

Forgiveness Opens the Door

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.        1 Corinthians  2:9  Cruel words spoken in anger. A betrayal of trust. Promises broken. A destructive relationship you knew you should not have entered into. Have you been down those dark paths before? There are so many people who are living in the shadow of guilt and condemnation. The mistakes of their past haunt them and it is a painfully lonely and arduous journey for them. Perhaps the paralyzed man who was let down through the roof by his four faithful friends in the book of Mark understood a little of this. The Bible tells us he was paralyzed to the point where he could only lie on a mat, which was how his friends carried him to the house Jesus was in. With the man lying inert on his mat, his four friends lowered him through the roof, right in front of Jesus—the only way they knew how to bring their crippled friend b

The Good Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm23:1-4                          Message If we're honest, we all have some measure of wrong believing in our lives. Just ask yourself, "Have I often felt anxious, worried, or fearful that the worst would happen to me and my loved ones?" These negative, exhausting emotions are merely flags that indicate what we truly believe about ourselves, our lives, and God. When we are fearful and worried all the time, we are living as if we don't believe that we have a strong and able Shepherd who is tenderhearted toward us, who leads us to good places, who protects us and lovingly watches over us. So if worrying or bein

Mix Faith With the Power

Health Food Devotions November 23 Mix Faith With the Power For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.—HEBREWS 4:2 Some time later, I was preaching in what was then my home church in Garland, Texas. After the service, the pastor and his wife along with my wife and I decided to go to Dallas to eat lunch. We were sitting at a restaurant and a young woman walked into the restaurant with her mother and father. It was this young woman I had prayed for! She was walking just as well as anyone. She came over to the table and talked to us. She said, “Brother Hagin, do you remember telling me that I would walk?” I said, “I sure do. I knew that you would if you mixed your faith with God’s power. I knew that the power of God was ministered to you.” It was the next morning when her faith gave action to the power that had already been ministered to her body. If her faith wasn’t there to give a

THANK YOU, FATHER

Faith Food Devotions November 23 THANK YOU, FATHER Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. — COLOSSIANS 1:12-14 The New Covenant tells us we should be giving thanks unto the Father because He has made us able to be partakers of something. Of what? “. . . Of the inheritance of the saints in light”! The Amplified Bible translates verse 13 as, “[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness . . . .” God Himself has delivered us from the control of Satan! Satan’s kingdom is the kingdom of darkness. God’s kingdom is the kingdom of light. The Father has made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us out from under the control and dominion of da

Purpose

Faith Food – November 22 By Rhema Team, Nov 22, 2020 Purpose . . . That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.  — 1 TIMOTHY 2:2-4 God doesn’t tell us to do something just to fill up space in the Bible. He has a purpose in mind. We are to pray for those in authority so that we who are Christians may lead a quiet and peaceable life. God is concerned about us, and He will work on our behalf, even when those in authority are not Christians. God’s ultimate purpose is that we be able to spread the Gospel freely. If we do not live under a stable government, the spreading of the Gospel is hindered. For example, times of political upheaval, war, travel restrictions, and other limitations hinder the spreading of the Gospel. Jesus said, “ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto al

IT IS WRITTEN

21November 2020 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matthew  4:10  When negative thoughts come your way, you must not give them time to take root in your heart. That correlates with the wise saying that you can't stop birds from flying over your head, but you can surely stop them from building a nest on your head. We can't stop the enemy from attacking our minds, but we can surely defend ourselves with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (see Eph. 6:17). God's Word is infallible, unshakable, and everlasting (see Isa. 40:8, 1 Pet. 1:25). Our Lord Jesus Himself showed us what to do when we are under attack by the devil. Three times He was tempted by Satan in the wilderness. Each time, His response was the same—He quoted the written Word of God. Against each attack, His response was to say, "It is written" (see Matt. 4:1–11). I know of believers who say

A Surge Of Strength

Health Food – November 18 By Rhema Team, Nov 18, 2020 A Surge Of Strength He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength . . . . they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  — ISAIAH 40:29–31 The pastor had this man who had never walked before testify. He said, “I knew the power went into me. I felt it go all over me, like a warm glow. Yet I still couldn’t walk. I wasn’t any better. They took me home, and my youngest brother put me to bed.” You see, this young man was helpless enough that he couldn’t get dressed and undressed by himself. He continued, “The last thing I said before I went to sleep was, ‘The healing power of God was ministered to my body and is working in me to heal me.’ When I woke up the next morning, my family got me out of bed, dressed me, and put me in my chair. Then at several different times in the day, I said, ‘That power was ministered to my body. That healing power is working in my body to heal me.’

Two People In Agreement

Health Food – November 16 By Rhema Team, Nov 16, 2020 Two People In Agreement Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  — MATTHEW 18:19 The daughter, her mother, my wife, and I walked down the street to the woman’s house. We went in, and the daughter introduced us. I couldn’t hear what the woman said. I had to get on my knees and put my ear close to her mouth. Even talking in a whisper took so much of her strength. She didn’t have enough strength to lift her hand to shake hands with us. She was lying on the bed, wasting away. She was skin and bones, so to speak. When I put my ear close to her mouth, I heard her say, “Ever since Sister ______ told me about you, I told her that if you’d come and pray for me, I know I’ll be healed.” Well, was I going to say, “No, you won’t”? No, I said, “Yes, you will!” If two people are agreeing on something, they’ll get it. My wife

Spiritual Babes

Faith Food – November 15 By Rhema Team, Nov 15, 2020 Spiritual Babes As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.  — 1 PETER 2:2 Under what circumstances can you help others? As long as people are bona fide baby Christians, you can carry them on your faith and get things for them. It’s the easiest thing in the world to get a new Christian healed. And it’s comparatively easy to get Christians healed who have never been taught about divine healing. But God expects a little more from people who have had time and opportunity to know about spiritual matters. When my wife and I were married in November 1938, she was a Methodist, and she knew nothing about healing. In December, the first real Norther’ blew into Texas and she got a sore throat. She said, “I’ll have to go have my throat swabbed out. I’ll have a bad throat all winter. I do every year.” That was a good opportunity to teach her about divine healing. Remembering Mark 11:23, I said, “No, we’ll not

Stay Open To God

Health Food – November 12 By Rhema Team, Nov 12, 2020 Stay Open To God But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.  — ROMANS 8:11 Don’t try to dictate to God the way in which you’ll receive healing. I’ve had the Lord say to me sometimes in the area of healing, “Now this is the only way you’re going to get it this time. And if you don’t get it this way, then you just won’t get it. You’ll do without it.” Well, I got lined up with Him in a hurry and got my healing. We need to stay open to the Spirit of God and let Him guide us and direct us. We need to realize that the healing power of God is just as real today as it ever was. It didn’t cease to exist when Jesus died on the Cross. I’ve heard people say, “Yes, but Jesus was anointed with healing power.” But that healing power didn’t come from Him; it came from God. Acts 10:38 says,  “How GOD ANO INT

The Anointing Of God’s Spirit

Health Food – November 10 By Rhema Team, Nov 10, 2020 The Anointing Of God’s Spirit And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.  — ISAIAH 10:27 One time while I was preaching in east Texas in one of the Assembly of God churches, the pastor said to me, “Brother Hagin, do you remember my son?” I said, “Yes, I remember.” He continued, “He’s away at college now. He goes to Texas Tech in Lubbock. You know, ever since he was twelve years of age, he has had asthma and related respiratory conditions. I’ve prayed and fasted. Many people have laid hands on him and prayed for him. Well, he just called us. He’s had another terrible attack.” The pastor said, “Here’s one of his handkerchiefs. I want you to lay hands on it, and I’ll send it to him.” So I laid hands on it, and he sent it to him. Several years later, I was preaching a meeting for that same past

Two Minds Restored By The Power Of God

Health Food – November 7 By Rhema Team, Nov 7, 2020 Two Minds Restored By The Power Of God So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.  — ACTS 19:12 During  Campmeeting 1978 , two women brought handkerchiefs and laid them down on the altar. One brought a handkerchief for her uncle who was sixty years old and had been in a mental institution for thirty-eight years. The doctor said he would die in that institution because he wasn’t responding to any of the treatments they were giving him. She took that handkerchief from  Campmeeting  and gave it to her uncle. She didn’t tell him what it was. He wore that handkerchief for ten days. On the tenth day, suddenly—as quick as you could snap your fingers—his mind was perfectly all right! In fact, when she wrote me the letter, she said, “He’s home. They’ve pronounced him normal and have dismissed him.” Now the other woman brought a handkerchi

The Power Of God In Manifestation

Health Food – November 5 By Rhema Team, Nov 5, 2020 The Power Of God In Manifestation And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God.  — LUKE 9:43 The sick woman’s sister picked up the handkerchief, laid it on the pillow next to her sister’s head, and went to get her husband, who was the only other believer in the house. She called for her husband who was outside working on his car. His hands were greasy, so he had to take a little extra time to get cleaned up. While he was washing his hands, they heard someone jumping and shouting in another part of the house. Well, they knew it couldn’t be the sister, because she was bedfast. She couldn’t get out of bed. She was totally helpless. They rushed toward the sound of the noise, and the sister was jumping, leaping, and praising God all over the bedroom! She was yelling, “I’m healed! I’m healed! I’m healed!” And she was healed. Two years later, she was still healed. Her sister asked her, “What happened?” She said, “You were hardly out o
