HIS EARS ARE NOT DULL

Image
OPEN HEAVENS  Thursday December 1st 2016 Memorise:   Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: Thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands. Job 14:15 Read:   Isaiah 59:1-3 (KJV) 1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. Bible in one year:   Exodus 10:21-12:42, Psalms 113 MESSAGE Alienation or banishment is a form of punishment in which a guilty person is expelled from a region and forbidden to return. Alienation is commonly used by God in the Bible to cut off sinners from His presence. A good example is the banishment of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden as a result of their disobedience to God.   Ope...

Certainty Of Reward

Image
Thursday December 1, 2016 REVELATION 22:10-21   Key Verse: "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Revelation 22:12). A good done to others is an investment that will surely ripen at the fullness of time. Our walk and relationship with God executed conscientiously and in holiness are to enable us pass through the golden path into the glory of heaven. The Lord's promise of rewarding those who endure till the end is not a fascinating yarn; it is a reality waiting to happen.God did not hide His programme for the end-time from man. The order is given to have the book of the prophesy open, to be perused by all that they might understand it. God deals freely and openly with all. He does not speak in secret but reveals His plan to judge every man according to their works whether it is good or bad. Those who do the commandments of the Lord will have right to the tree of life through the gates in...

Faith and Power

Image
Health Food Devotional November 30, 2016 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power. (2 Thess. 1:11) I remember one gentleman whom I laid hands on fifteen or sixteen times during the course of an extended meeting we held. I thought to myself, That poor fellow! Dear Lord, I've laid hands on him, and every time, it's like laying hands on a doorknob. But somehow, he eventually got his faith into action. I was standing on the platform and laying hands on people as they walked by. Usually, I lay hands on people and pray, but since I had already laid hands on this man many times, I intended to just touch him and send him on his way. I thought, He is not going to get anything, anyway. But when I touched the man's forehead, he jerked the power of God out of me until all I could see in my eyes was what looked like lightning. I f...

MERCY OR JUDGMENT?

Image
OPEN HEAVENS  Wednesday November 30th 2016 Memorise:   Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalms 32:1 Read:   John 8:10-11 (KJV) 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Bible in one year:   Exodus 9:1-10:20, Psalms 112 MESSAGE The story of the woman caught in the act of adultery is typical of the mercy of God and it was in direct contradiction with the judgement of the old era which did not give remedy to the spiritual problem of the people. Psalms 130:3-4 says: “If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” This passage is a pointer to the fact that mercy is the preferred alternative to judgment. No matter how perfe...

The Danger Of Unbelief

Wednesday November 30, 2016 2 KINGS 7:15-20   Key Verse: "And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died" (2 Kings 7:19,20). The Moody Church News had an account of a man who was walking by the sea shore. He was greatly perplexed about the doctrine of the Trinity. He observed a little boy with a sea shell running to the water, filling it and then pouring it into a hole which he had made in the sand. "What are you doing my little man?" asked the perplexed man. "Oh", said he, "I am trying to put the ocean into this hole!" The man learnt his lesson, and as he walked away, he said: "That is what I am trying to do. I see it now". Standing on the shores of time, he was trying to ge...

'They Jerked the Power of God Out of Me!'

Image
Health Food Devotional Wednesday November 29, 2016 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.  (Ps. 63:2) I've laid hands on people for healing, ministering to them by faith the healing power of God. And I knew it when that healing power went into them. I felt it in my hands as it went into them. But somehow, many weren't even conscious of it. It was like I had laid my hands on a doorknob. There was no response. I've seen those same people come back with their faith active and say, "Just put your hand on me. I'll receive right now." I'd reach out to touch them, and it seemed like they jerked the power of God out of me! I remember one woman in particular. I didn't know it was going to happen. I didn't even know what had happened afterward until I started getting up! You see, when I laid hands on her, the power of God came out of me so strong that she fell, and I fell on top of her! I didn't even know ...

A FAITHFUL STEWARD?

Image
OPEN HEAVENS  Monday November 28th 2016 Memorise:   Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1st Corinthians 4:2 Read:   Luke 16:1-8 (KJV) 1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. 3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. 4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. 5 So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? 6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. 7 Then s...
