Teaching, Preaching, and Healing

Image
Health Food Devotional November 1, 2016 And [they in the synagogue] rose up, and thrust him [Jesus] out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. (Luke 4:29) Jesus once said something to me that astounded me.   He said, "If I ministered like people thought I did, then when I came to Nazareth, instead of just getting a few healed and getting run out of town [That's exactly what happened. In fact, they would have killed Him if they could have, and thrown Him off a cliff.], I would have gotten all the people together - including the leaders of the city of Nazareth - and said to them, 'Get six totally blind people and line them up here. We'll have the doctors examine them to certify the fact that they're totally blind.'"   Jesus continued, "Then I would have gotten six deaf and mute people and had the doctors examine them to certify the fact that they were

GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT

Image
OPEN HEAVENS  Tuesday November 1st 2016 Memorise:   And grieve not the holy spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 Read:   Matthew 12:24-31 (KJV) 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? 27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. 30 He that is not with me

Blow The Trumpet

Tuesday November 1, 2016 NUMBERS 10:1-10   Key Verse: "Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God" (Numbers 10:10). Clear instruction deserves prompt obedience. God's messages to the children of Israel have always been clear and without ambiguities. All His instructions are intended to enhance the well-being of the people though they perceived some directives as cumbersome.God had instructed Moses to make two trumpets. Different occasions determined the manner of the sound of the trumpets. When only one trumpet was blown, it was to gather the princes and leaders for a meeting. When both trumpets were sounded, it was to gather the entire assembly. An alarm was to indicate that there was a serious matter in the land

BE COURAGEOUS

Image
OPEN HEAVENS Monday October 31st 2016 Memorise:   Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6 Read:   2nd Chronicles 32:7-8 (KJV) 7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: 8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. Bible in one year : Malachi 1-4, Psalms 90:7-17 MESSAGE Courage is a virtue that is not optional for children of God who want to fulfil destiny. Without courage, we can’t even say we are images of Living God. This is why God Almighty always emphasizes the need to be courageous in the lives of those who He wants to use for special assignments. In the memory verse for today,

Monday October 31, 2016 ECCLESIASTES 12:8-14   Key Verse: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:for this is the whole duty of man"(Ecclesiastes 12:13). Evangelist Bud Chambers, a gospel song writer, scripted some lyrics, "Born to serve the Lord," showing the totality of man's business on earth. He wrote, "From the dust of the earth, my God created man, His breath made man a living soul; and God so loved the world He gave His only Son, and that is why I love him with my soul". According to him, it would amount to a waste of precious life to abandon the very essence of our living here on earth. He believes disobedience to the will of God will attract eternal punishment. In this concluding part of the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon reminds everyone that the purpose of our creation is to fear God by doing His will. He also reminds us that every work of man would be judged. Although man may

Teaching Should Come First

Image
Kenneth Hagin's Health Food Devotional October 31, 2016 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. (Matt. 9:35) When Jesus encountered unbelief, He went about teaching (see Mark 6:5 and 6). Notice that the ministry of Jesus consisted of three aspects in this order: teaching, preaching, and healing. Many people want to reverse that order. They want healing first, then preaching, and no teaching. But if you want to get the results Jesus had, follow His example. Let's continue reading. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion [or mercy] on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his har
