Be Strong in Faith
Memory Verse: - 1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Bible Reading: - 1Cor 16: 1 – 24
Message
One cannot be physically strong if he is not feeding well on balanced foods containing bodily needs for growth and vitality. Someone who has food and refuse to eat the food as expected for his health will grow weak and will eventually die if such malnourishment attitude is not repented of.
Spiritually, the word of God is the food for our soul which is capable of building us up and making us strong. We ought to do ourselves more good by personally creating time to eat the word; that is to read, meditate and pray in the word into our lives.
The word of God is the sword of the spirit with which we fight the spirit battles and if you don’t have the word in you how will you stand on the evil day against the tempter and the wiles of the devil. Devil came to Jesus with his cunningly devised temptations, but our Lord gave him technical knockout through the use of the word “it is written”
Therefore, desire the sincere milk of the word so that you might grow thereby. Study the word to show yourself approved unto God a workman that needs not to be ashamed, but rightly dividing the word of truth.
Ac 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
The word of God is able to build you up, make you strong and healthy for it is health to all the flesh of those that find it; it will also give you an inheritance among the saints of God. You have to watch over your study, prayer and meditation life; make a time for this and observe it diligently for your own good. Don’t be too far away from the word of God because the farther away you are from the word, the weaker and vulnerable to satanic attack you become; hence watch and pray always so as not to fall into temptation.
S – Search the scriptures daily as commanded by Christ [John5:39]
T – Teach others the word and live it out for them to see.[Matt 28: 19 – 20]
R – Rely on the word in spiritual battles of life, needs, protection and deliverance [Matt 4:4 – 10]
O – Observe to do according to all that is written in the word for prosperity and good success [Josh1:8]
N – Nurture your soul diligently and your household with the word [Eph 6:4]
G – Guard your thoughts, deeds and actions by the word [Php 4:8]
Confession of the Day
I can do all things through Christ the word that strengthens me.
Prayer Points
Heavenly father, help me to give myself to the study of the word to make my calling an election sure.
Bruise under my feet all powers that will not enable me read and meditate on the word
Write your words Oh Lord upon the tables of my heart in Jesus name [Amen]

Adonizedek, king of Jerusalem, cried unto the kings of Amorites, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon for help. The people of Gibeon got wind of the plot against the city and sent words to Joshua to come to their rescue. Guard Your Heart

28 December 2020 Proverbs  4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Guard Your Heart Proverbs 4:21 says, “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” You are to keep God’s Word in your heart. Then Proverbs 4:23 tells you to keep or guard your heart. How do you do that? By keeping the Word in your heart! How are you going to keep God’s Word in your heart? By meditating on God’s Word continually. In other words, think deeply about it until it becomes a part of your inner conscience. Don’t just memorize scriptures and forget them. You can memorize scriptures and say them by rote, and they won’t mean a thing in the world to you. Those verses are just in your mind. But, no, think on them until they get down into your heart.
